    摘要: Dentifrice dispensing electrical toothbrush comprising a driver-pump head with a dispensing platform, a replaceable brush unit and a handle having a battery and a cartridge containing dentifrice material. The replaceable brush unit includes a oscillatory brush element and a brush element having a circular or an elongated spout opening as well as a snap-on mounting bracket for fastening to the driver-pump head. The dispensing platform contains a flow channel and a self-sealing spout to prevent drying of the dentifrice material at the spout. The self-sealing spout opens and closes automatically during a pumping action. The brush element with a spout opening is detachably mounted over the spout fixed on the dispensing platform to allow for brush oscillation around the spout and receive the dentifrice material dispensed from the flow channel. Different drive mechanisms are used to impart rotary, lateral or longitudinal oscillation on a brush element in a brush unit.

The divided drug chamber configuration enables frequent or continuous minute doses.     摘要: This is a mechanical oil dispenser for use in applying an oil to the surface (or two surfaces in a duplex mode) of printed media to improve its sheet-handling characteristics. This dispenser system has an oil-containing housing or tank with oil ports at the bottom of the tank. The ports are abutting a wick, this wick then disperses oil to an applicator roll which in turn applies oil to one or both surfaces of a printed media. The oil ports and oil flow are controlled by the profile of a cam and shaft in operative connection to said ports. Opening and closing of these oil ports are controlled by a cam shaft movement actuated by the rotation and stopping of the applicator roll.

    摘要: Pump toothbrush being provided for maximizing the benefit of brushing with liquid dentifrice by conveniently dispensing the dentifrice incrementally with one-hand to teeth surfaces and spaces between teeth without interrupting the continuous brushing motion. Common pump head and cartridge structure enable dispensing any kind of liquid and paste dentifrices. The pump head is equipped with an elastic compressible button for pumping with thumb and an inlet connector for mounting a refillable piston cartridge. A built-in self-closing slit valve in the brush head prevents backflow and drying of dentifrice material at the spout opening. The slit valve opens and closes automatically with the pumping action. The dispensing mechanism and cartridge structure are applicable to manual and electrical pump toothbrushes which use common cartridges. A toothbrush container having vent-tube and vent-caps is also provided for selective venting and sealing a pump toothbrush.

    摘要: A guide system for xerographic printing apparatus introduces paper bearing an unfixed image and having a broad range of basis weights into a fuser nip from a prefuser transport without causing image smear. An entrance baffle is positioned in the path of the paper advancing toward the fuser nip for engagement by the paper's leading edge. The entrance baffle is hinged at its mounting end for swinging movement between a maximal and minimal positions as defined by stop members and is biased into engagement with the minimal stop member. The magnitude of the bias is chosen such that as the lightest basis weight paper engages the entrance baffle, it bends around its free end and is guided into the fuser nip, and such that as the heaviest paper engages the entrance baffle, it forces the entrance baffle toward engagement with the second stop member and itself is guided into the fuser nip.

    摘要: A biosensor electrical toothbrush having a brush head with a test channel and a renewable biosensor system within the test channel for performing routine saliva tests. The brush head stimulates saliva production and collection in the test channel where measurement signals are produced by sensors. The signals are transmitted for storage and analysis to a microprocessor that provides readable data signals reflective of the presence or quantitative level of a specific component of saliva. The brush handle contains the micro-processor, a display means, a battery, a motor and a reservoir for storing a reagent which is supplied in controlled quantities to the channel during saliva testing. The toothbrush is used to detect fertility periods, pregnancy, labor onset, alcohol concentration, blood glucose concentration and indicators that signal a need for comprehensive HIV testing. A test head without bristles may be used in place of a brush head to provide a saliva-monitoring oral device which performs the same saliva tests as the electrical toothbrush. The bristles are replaced by an oral thermometer, a gum massage element or other element used for medical or dental functions.
