Abstract: An electronic device includes a housing including a recess; an internal structure disposed in the recess; and a display disposed in the recess and supported by the internal structure, where the display includes a display panel including a first region and a second region, where the second region forms at least part of an edge of the display panel; and a flexible polymer layer forming an outer surface of the display panel, where the flexible polymer layer includes a first portion covering the first region and the second region, and a second portion extending from the first portion, enclosing the at least part of the edge of the display panel, and extending inward. Thereby, foreign material can be prevented from entering into the display. Various other embodiments are possible.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a display including a first area and a second area; a foldable housing including a first housing which supports the first area and a second housing which supports the second area; a hinge structure which connects the first housing and the second housing to be foldable relative to each other on a folding axis between a first state in which the first area and the second area are substantially coplanar, and a second state in which the first area and the second area face each other; and a protection structure provided on the display. At least a portion of the protection structure is included in the foldable housing, wherein the foldable housing may further include a front surface, a rear surface opposite to the front surface, and a side surface which encloses an inner space between the front surface and the rear surface. The protection structure, from a perspective facing the front surface of the foldable housing in the first state, covers at least some of a space between the display and the side surface of the foldable housing.

Abstract: According to an embodiment of the disclosure, an electronic device includes: a transparent front surface plate defining at least a portion of a front surface of the electronic device, and including a first edge and a second edge disposed on opposite sides, a third edge connecting one end of the first edge and one end of the second edge, and a fourth edge connecting another end of the first edge and another end of the second edge and disposed opposite the third edge; a rear surface plate defining at least a portion of a rear surface of the electronic device; a side housing surrounding at least a portion of a space between the front surface plate and the rear surface plate; a support disposed in the space and connected with the side housing or integrally formed with the side housing; a display disposed in the space and viewable through at least a portion of the front surface plate; a second flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) disposed to at least partially overlap the display when viewed above the front surface plate; a first FPCB connecting the display and the second FPCB, and disposed in a folded state within a specified proximity of the fourth edge and having a portion overlapping the display when viewed above the front surface plate; a first seal disposed between the first FPCB and the support, or between the second FPCB and the support, and extending from a first end to a second end along the fourth edge; a second seal disposed between the display and the support, and extending from a third end proximate the first end to a fourth end proximate the second end along the first edge, the third edge, and the second edge; and a third seal disposed between the first end of the first seal and the third end of the second seal, and between the second end of the first seal and the fourth end of the second seal, and connecting the first seal and the second seal.

Abstract: According to various embodiments, an electronic device may include: a housing including an inner space; a slide structure including a reciprocating slide configured to be slidable from the housing by a predetermined reciprocating distance along a first direction; a flexible display at least partially supported by the slide structure and configured to be received in the inner space to be at least partially invisible from the outside in a slide-in state of the electronic device; and a first friction reducing structure disposed between the housing and the slide structure. The first friction reducing structure may include: a guide slit disposed in the housing in a direction parallel to the first direction and having a predetermined length; a guide protrusion configured to be guided by the guide slit in the slide structure; at least one first magnet disposed on the guide slit; and at least one second magnet disposed on the guide protrusion at a position affected by the magnetic force of the first magnet. The at least one first magnet and the at least one second magnet may be arranged to have identical polarities at least partially facing each other along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction.
