The present invention provides a backlight module and a liquid crystal display device using the backlight module. The backlight module includes: a backplane (2), a light guide plate (4) arranged in the backplane (2), a backlight source (6) arranged in the backplane (2), and an optic film assembly (8) arranged on the light guide plate (4). The backplane (2) comprises a bottom plate (22) and a plurality of side plates (24) perpendicularly connected to the bottom plate (22). The bottom plate (22) has a surface facing the light guide plate (4) and defining a curved surface (222) and the curved surface (222) comprises a curved reflection surface (224) formed thereon. The backlight module and the liquid crystal display device using the backlight module according to the present invention have simple structure and include a backplane having a bottom plate that has a surface facing the light guide plate and including a curved reflection surface having excellent reflectivity formed thereon to replace a conventionally used reflector plate so as to reduce the thickness of the liquid crystal display device, reduce the cost of manufacturing, and facilitate achievement of thinning and also preventing the light guide plate from damage caused by friction between the reflector plate and the light guide plate and thus extending the life span of the light guide plate.
Abstract:
A positioning device which positions an optical film set in a backlight module is proposed. The backlight module includes a back plate. The optical film set is disposed on the back plate. The positioning device includes an assembly sheet and a fixing device. The assembly sheet is disposed at one end of the positioning device for penetrating an opening formed on at least one edge of the optical film set. The fixing device is used for fixing the positioning device to a side plate of the back plate. A backlight module in which the positioning device is used and a liquid crystal display (LCD) in which the positioning device is used are proposed as well. Owing to the present invention, the positioning of each optical film in the optical film set is simple. Also, an LCD featuring a thin bezel design is implemented.

The present invention relates to a backlight module suitable for transportation, which comprises a backlight unit, the backlight unit comprises a backplate, and a light source, as well as an optical film, a light guide plate and a reflection plate arranged in sequence on the backplate from up to down; the backlight module further comprises a fixing belt used for fixing the optical film, the fixing belt being tightly tied outside the backlight unit along at least one of the length and width directions of the backlight unit. This backlight module uses the fixing belt to fix the optical film instead of using the rubber frame to press against the optical film, thus the cost of the rubber frame assembly is saved, the optical film can be prevented from translocating due to vibration, and the winding strength can be ensured to be moderate.

The present invention provides a frameless liquid crystal display device, which includes: a rear casing (2), a mold frame (4) fixedly mounted in the rear casing (2), a backlight module (6) fixedly mounted in the mold frame (4), and a liquid crystal display panel (8) mounted in the mold frame (4) and located above the backlight module (6). The mold frame (4) includes a bottom plate (42), two first side plates (44) perpendicularly connected to the bottom plate (42) to be opposite to each other, and second side plates (46) perpendicularly connected to the bottom plate (42) and each having two ends respectively connected to the two first side plates (44). The two first side plates (44) are each provided with a first receiving slot (442) and a second receiving slot (444). The backlight module (6) is fit into and retained in the first receiving slots (442). The liquid crystal display panel (8) is fit into and retained in the second receiving slots (444). The backlight module and the liquid crystal display panel are releasably mounted to the mold frame through fitting engagement. The structure is simple and mounting is easy.

The present invention discloses an engaged type liquid crystal module. By engaging a first groove disposed in the middle of an outer surface of a backlight module with a first flange of a front frame structure, it can assemble a liquid crystal module, and can save a volume occupied by screw members. The engaged type liquid crystal module according to the present invention can simplify the frame design of the liquid crystal module, and match with a corresponding outer housing of display device to process an assembly operation without screw members, so that it is further advantageous for a development trend that liquid crystal display is designed toward narrow frame.

The present invention provides a backlight module of a curved liquid crystal display device, which includes a light-guiding plate, having an upper curved surface, a lower curved surface, a first side surface and a second side surface, wherein the upper curved surface and the lower curved surface being connected to the first side surface and the second side surface at both ends respectively; a first light source unit, fixedly disposed near the first side surface, a back frame, having a back plate comprising a plurality of steps, wherein the step surface of the steps contacting to support the lower curved surface. The present invention simplifies the back frame structure and reduces manufacturing cost. The present invention also discloses a curved liquid crystal display device with the above backlight module.

The present invention provides a backlight module, which includes a backplane, a backlight source arranged inside the backplane, a reflector plate arranged inside the backplane, a light guide plate arranged on the reflector plate, and a mold frame mounted to the backplane. The mold frame forms a projection. The backplane forms a retention slot corresponding to the projection. The projection and the retention slot mate each other through interference fitting, whereby with the interference fitting between the projection and the retention slot, the mold frame is fixedly connected to the backplane. The backlight module uses a projection formed on the mold frame and a retention section formed in the backplane to mate the projection through interference fitting pawl section so as to fixedly mount the mold frame to the backplane through interference-fitting connection thereby showing a simple structure, being easy to assemble, effectively saving time, and thus controlling the cost.

The present invention provides a backlight module and a liquid crystal display device. The backlight module which comprises a waveguide including a light exiting surface, and a side surface adjoining the light-exiting surface. An optical film includes a main portion disposed on the existing surface of the waveguide, and a skirt extends from a peripheral of the main portion and adjoining to the side surface of the light-exiting surface. A backboard includes a base and an upright extending from peripheral of the base, the waveguide is disposed on the base, and the upright is spaced with the skirt; and wherein a retaining device is supportably arranged between the upright and the skirt so as to press the skirt onto the side surface of the waveguide. The present invention can effectively reduce the estate of the backboard, and is beneficial to the design narrow-border of liquid crystal display device.

The present invention provides a slim bezel liquid crystal display device, which includes a rear enclosure, a front enclosure mating the rear enclosure, and a liquid crystal display module arranged in the rear enclosure. The liquid crystal display module is fixed inside the rear enclosure by means of hook-and-loop fasteners. The hook-and-loop fasteners each include a first fastening section and a second fastening section. The first fastening section includes hooks and the second fastening section includes hoops, whereby the hooks of the first fastening section are entangleable with the loops of the second fastening section to have the first and second fastening sections coupled to each other thereby fixing the liquid crystal display module in the rear enclosure. The slim bezel liquid crystal display device uses hook-and-loop fasteners to fix the liquid crystal display module in the rear enclosure. The structure is simple and the assembling operation is easy.
