    摘要: A processor capable of performing a filter processing in a high speed is provided. A computing unit comprises a computer for performing a filter processing. Data supply to the computer is performed by an internal register configured by a flip-flop. Data read from the internal register is outputted to a shift register and the data is supplied to the computer per cycle. And, the computing unit comprises a mechanism for changing a filter computing direction according to a motion vector, thereby preventing performance lowering due to branched command by performing a horizontal filtering and a vertical filtering by a same command.

    摘要: An ink cartridge for mounting on an ink supply needle of a recording head is provided. An ink cartridge main body having a plurality of walls and an ink supply port disposed in a wall of said ink cartridge main body and communicating from the interior to the exterior of the ink cartridge for the flow of ink through the ink supply port are also provided. A cover is adapted to seal said ink cartridge main body and is formed with an ambient air vent in the cover which is in fluid communication with ambient air through a circuitous channel formed in the cover. A second air vent is also formed in the cover and is also in fluid communication with the circuitous channel. The interior of the ink cartridge main body is thus placed in fluid communication with ambient air through the circuitous channel while preventing any ink contained in the ink tank main body from evaporating.

In the case where the nozzle surface of the recording head is to be cleaned with the rubbing member, the cleaning operation is carried out with the rubbing member wetted with ink.     摘要: An ink tank cartridge for an ink-jet type recording apparatus being removably mounted onto an ink supply needle of a recording body is provided. The ink tank cartridge is provided with a first chamber for storing ink and a second chamber for storing a porous member having ink impregnated therein. The second chamber communicates with the first chamber through a passageway formed within the cartridge between the first and second chambers. An ink supply port extends through and projects from a wall of the second chamber. The ink supply port supplies inks to the ink-jet recording apparatus through said porous member. A funnel-shaped packing member is provided within the ink supply port. The packing member is formed with a hole therethrough having a wide end and a narrow end and is dimensioned to receive the ink supply needle and to resiliently abutt against an outer periphery of the ink supply needle. The packing member is formed for preventing the flow of ink through the ink supply port other than through the ink supply needle when the needle is positioned in the ink supply port. The wide end of the hole is disposed away from the porous member.

    摘要: In a recording apparatus with an ink jet print head which forms dots on a recording sheet by ink jets shot from an array of nozzles, a microcomputer determines whether a printing defect is a light printing defect caused by paper particles and dust adhering to the nozzles or a heavy printing defect caused by the entry of air bubbles into the ink flow paths. The determination is made on the basis of intervals of operating a print recovery button mounted on a chassis of the recording apparatus. For the light printing defect, the computer puts a cap member to the front face of the nozzles of the print head and applies a negative pressure to the nozzles, thereby to reduce the amount of ink emitted from the nozzles. For the heavy printing defect, the computer increases the amount of ink.
