    摘要: The invention allows an image printing on a wide range of print media regardless of how much ink the print media absorb, without sacrificing a high printing flexibility of an ink jet printing system. To this end, the image forming method of this invention includes: a process of modifying a surface of an intermediate transfer body by applying energy to the surface; a process of ejecting ink onto the surface-modified intermediate transfer body by using an ink jet printing device; and a process of transferring ink from the intermediate transfer body to a print medium. With this invention, therefore, an ink image can be formed on the intermediate transfer body having a surface layer, without causing bleeding or beading, and then transferred onto the print medium in good condition.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for forming an image which can form a high-quality image on a great variety of print media regardless of the surface roughness or ink absorptivity of the print medium, without sacrificing the high degree of freedom of the ink jet printing system are provided. An ink jet printing section ejects ink to an intermediate transfer body to form an ink image on the intermediate transfer body. Before the ink image thus obtained is transferred to a print medium, an ink transfer adjuvant is applied to the print medium. Then, the ink image formed on the intermediate transfer body is transferred to the print medium to which the ink transfer adjuvant has been applied.

    摘要: A printing method for an in situ plate production process in which a photosensitive plate blank having a polymerization layer between a support and a release film is fixed to a plate cylinder either before or after forming a polymerization-nonpolymerization pattern in the polymerization layer. The polymerization layer can be a thermal development-type photosensitive layer for forming the pattern. The release film is then peeled apart from the plate blank to leave a printing plate on the plate cylinder, which can be used for printing and for an inking step. The printing pattern of the plate can be formed by selective removal of the unpolymerized part or by selective transfer of the release film to the polymerized part of the polymerization layer.
