Abstract: A method for managing Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) addresses in a wireless sensor network is provided that includes storing, on a wireless sensor device in the wireless sensor network, a prefix of an IPv6 address in association with a key, forming an address indicator for the IPv6 address, the address indicator consisting of the key and a node address of the IPv6 address, and storing the address indicator in at least one memory location on the wireless sensor device in lieu of the IPv6 address.

The first wireless node includes a first encryption engine that processes a first initialization data set and a current transmit sequence associated with a current communication to generate a next transmit sequence that is employed to communicate with a second wireless node that derives a next received sequence that corresponds to the next transmit sequence to process a subsequent communication.

Abstract: The white list generator identifies wireless sensor nodes that communicate via a wireless sensor network, to identifies time slots assigned for with each of the identified wireless sensor nodes, and to create and maintain a list of the identified wireless sensor nodes and corresponding time slots. The white list generator provides power control information to power a transceiver for reception of transmissions from each identified wireless sensor node based on the identified time slots corresponding to the identified wireless sensor node provided in the list.
