摘要: A network includes an intermediate node to communicate with a child node via a wireless network protocol. An intermediate node synchronizer in the intermediate node facilitates time synchronization with its parent node and with the child node. A child node synchronizer in the child node to facilitates time synchronization with the intermediate node. The intermediate node synchronizer exchanges synchronization data with the child node synchronizer to enable the child node to be time synchronized to the intermediate node before the intermediate node is synchronized to its parent node if the intermediate node has not synchronized to its parent node within a predetermined guard time period established for the child node.

摘要: A communication circuit for communications between a controller and a subsystem with a monitored electrical component is described. The communication circuit includes network formation circuitry configured to establish a wireless network between a primary wireless node adapted to be coupled to the controller and a secondary wireless node coupled to the subsystem. The communication circuit also includes data transfer circuitry configured to perform data transfers between the primary wireless node and the secondary wireless node. The communication circuit further includes data integrity circuitry configured to: generate a hash for data received by the communication circuit; and verify the hash before the data transfer circuitry performs a data transfer of the data between the primary wireless node and the secondary wireless node.

摘要: A system and method for optimizing power consumption of energy harvesting nodes in a wireless sensor network. In one embodiment, a system includes a network coordinator. The network coordinator includes a wireless transceiver and a controller. The wireless transceiver is configured to provide access to the wireless sensor network. The controller is configured to determine whether a wireless device that is wirelessly communicating with the network coordinator is powered via energy harvesting. The controller is also configured to schedule, based on a determination that the wireless device is powered via energy harvesting, the wireless device to communicate via the wireless sensor network using a priority timeslot of a superframe of the wireless sensor network. The priority timeslot is a timeslot occurring in an initial portion of the superframe.

摘要: A system and method for reducing energy consumption in a wireless network. In one embodiment, a system includes a network coordinator configured to manage access to a wireless network. The network coordinator includes a controller. The controller is configured to define a channel hopping list that specifies on which channel a beacon signal is transmitted in each slot frame of the wireless network. The controller is also configured to set a number of time slots in each slot frame based on a length of the channel hopping list. The controller is further configured to transmit a first beacon signal in each slot frame on a channel specified by the channel hopping list. The number of slots in each slot frame causes the first beacon signal to be transmitted on a same channel in each slot frame.

摘要: Disclosed embodiments relate to a Hierarchical Do-Dag based RPL (H-DOC) network configuration where the network address of each node corresponds to its location within the hierarchical network. Network addresses are initialized hierarchically. Candidate patent nodes signal availability. Candidate child nodes respond to a selected candidate parent node with a temporary address. The selected candidate parent node acknowledges selection and communicates a hierarchical address for the child node in a transmission to the temporary address. The child node changes its address to the hierarchical address from the parent node. When a node switches parent nodes, it signals the old parent node to deallocate it as a child node, and then signals a selected candidate parent node with a temporary address.

摘要: A network includes a plurality of parent nodes to communicate in a wireless network via a wireless network protocol. A network node establishes a network connection to one of the parent nodes of the plurality of parent nodes in response to received beacons from the parent nodes. A signal analyzer in the network node processes a received signal strength of the beacons and the number of beacons received over a given time period from each of the parent nodes. The signal analyzer selects the parent node by analyzing the received signal strength for a number of beacons received from each parent node with respect to a number of expected beacons transmitted from each parent node of the plurality of parent nodes over the given time period.
