In order to prevent image quality degradation which occurs when a flow compensating pulse is applied in a pulse sequence according to the fast spin echo technique, a bipolar pulse constituted of gzfcf and gzmfcf (FIG. 5) is incorporated in the slice gradient before an inversion pulse applied immediately before the flow compensating pulse constituted of fcrdep and fcrrep incorporated in the read gradient in the pulse sequence, thereby imparting a phase shift equal to a non-linear phase shift due to the flow compensating pulse constituted of fcrdep and fcrrep.

The present invention relates to an MRI apparatus capable of preventing the quality of an image from being degraded under the influence of eddy currents and residual magnetization caused by a phase encode gradient. While an RF pulse P1 is sent, a phase encode gradient gy(i) is applied to a warp axis and a read gradient rr is applied to a read axis, an NMR signal is received, followed by application of a rewind gradient gyr(i)' to the warp axis. The rewind gradient gyr(i)' is defined as "(a basic component of opposite polarity equal in time integral value to the phase encode gradient gy(i))+(a warp-axis correction component for correcting the influence of eddy currents or residual magnetization caused by the phase encode gradient gy(i))".

A tremolo device for a stringed instrument includes internal walls of a string inserting hole and a through hole of a base communicating with the string inserting hole formed by sloped surfaces and along a direction of extension of a string. The string can be extended freely through the through hole and the string inserting hole without contact with the insides of such holes, so that the string can be tautly extended in a straight line between a string engaging part and a pedestal. Thus, it is possible to prevent strings from being broken due to frictional wear and habitual deformation due to continuous folding.

An ophthalmic solution suitable for adjusting intraocular pressure comprising (A) an ophthalmologically acceptable, water-soluble salt of 2-acetyl-7-(2-hydroxy-3-isopropylaminopropoxy)benzofuran, (B) benzalkonium chloride or benzethonium chloride, and (C) a member selected from polyvinyl alcohol, methyl cellulose, carboxymethyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl cellulose and hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose, the solution being adjusted to pH 5.0 to 8.0 with a buffer agent. The components (B) and (C) increase greately the intraocular penetration of the component (A) and reduce the irritation to eye of the component (A) so that the pharmacological action of the component (A) can be effectively exhibited. The ophthalmic solution produces an excellent effect on decreasing of intraocular pressure with reduced irritation to eye and stability for a long term.

A housing 1 is provided with a left foot support 2a and a right foot support 2b respectively for mounting user's left foot and right foot. The left foot support 2a and the right foot support 2b are respectively driven to move along a rail which defines a travel path. The housing 1 is provided with a motor 31 having an output shaft 31a which generates a rotary motion which is distributed into two routes by a worm gear 32a and two worm wheels 32b. Rotary motions of each of the worm wheels 32b are respectively transmitted to the left foot support 2a and the right foot support 2b by a crank rod 38, thereby the rotary motions of each of the worm wheels 32b act as driving forces which respectively reciprocate the left foot support 2a and the right foot support 2b. Accordingly, this configuration makes it possible to provide an exercise assisting device being configured to stimulate leg muscles by only one driving force for generation of the driving forces.

The present invention relates to a portable terminal in which the orientation of the displayed subject is the same as the actual orientation of the subject. The reference attitude when taking a picture is shown in FIG. 5, with the lid 12 being rotated substantially about 90 degrees about the X-axis with respect to the main body, and a perpendicular of the display 32 is in the same orientation as the optical axis of the CCD 41. In this attitude, the image captured by the CCD 41 is displayed as it is in the display 32. On the other hand, when the angle detector 51 detects that the lid 12 is rotated by a further 90 degrees with respect to the main body 11 from the attitude of FIG. 5 and the lid 12 and the main body 11 are opened by about 180 degrees, the image captured by the CCD 41 is rotated by 90 degrees, and the rotated image is displayed in the display 32. The present invention can be applied to portable type terminals such as mobile phones having a two axially rotatable structure, PDA, personal computers.
