Abstract: A system described herein may identify traffic to be processed by a gateway device. The system may evaluate one or more parameters of the traffic based on a first set of conditions, and identify a first condition that is applicable to the traffic. The system may evaluate, based on identifying the first condition, the one or more parameters based on a second set of conditions and identify a second condition, of the second set of conditions, that is applicable to the traffic. The system may further identify one or more actions to perform with respect to the traffic based on the identified first and second conditions, and instruct the gateway device to perform the one or more actions on the traffic prior to outputting the traffic from the gateway device.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) device may include a processor configured to establish an application session with a multi-access edge computing (MEC) device via a base station. The processor may be further configured to receive a message associated with the application session; retrieve, from the received message, an indication that a MEC indicator on a user interface of the UE device should be activated, wherein the MEC indicator indicates that a MEC application session is active on the UE device; and activate the MEC indicator on the user interface of the UE device, in response to retrieving the indication.

Abstract: A first network device may receive a protocol data unit (PDU) session establishment or modification request, and may perform one or more actions based on the PDU session establishment or modification request. The first network device may receive, based on performing the one or more actions, a first message indicating that the PDU session is authenticated and authorized, and may select a second network device associated with establishing or modifying a management policy for the PDU session. The first network device may receive, from the second network device, a second message indicating whether to wait for receipt of a charging data response, to a charging data request, before interacting with a third network device, and may provide the charging data request to a fourth network device while interacting with the third network device when the second message indicates not to wait for receipt of the charging data response.

Abstract: A method assigns a bootstrap server for wireless devices in a machine-to-machine environment. The method includes receiving, by a network device in a wireless access network and from a wireless device, a first request for a bootstrap server identifier. The method also includes providing, to the wireless device, a response including an address for a carrier-specific bootstrap server device. The method also includes receiving, by the carrier-specific bootstrap server device, a request for management server connection information. The request is submitted by the wireless device using the bootstrap server identifier. The method further includes assigning, by the carrier-specific bootstrap server device, the wireless device to a management server of a group of management servers and sending connection information for the management server to the wireless device.
