According to the method, the MS receives signals of different BSs and detects preambles for each BS from the received signals. Further, the MS processes the signals received from the different BSs based on a result obtained by comparing the measured channel quality information with the preset threshold value.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for estimating a signal delay between a transmission signal which is to be processed in a predetermined communication device of a mobile communication system, and a feedback signal. Each of the transmission and feedback signals is sampled for a predetermined length, and signal power magnitude values are computed in a sample unit and are stored in first and second memory blocks. Mean squared error (MSE) values are computed from a plurality of samples, while a start sample position of one block is shifted on a basis of a start sample position of the other block. A sample delay value is estimated from a start sample position of the one block with a smallest MSE value such that a sample delay between a transmission signal and a feedback signal is closely estimated regardless of a frequency allocation (FA) value.

The method involves the steps of (a) generating an address based on the digital input signal, reading a distortion control value corresponding to the address from a look-up table, and applying the read distortion control value to the digital input signal to predistort the digital input signal; (b) frequency up-converting the predistorted signal and amplifying the frequency up-converted signal; (c) frequency down-converting the amplified signal and compensating for a delay of the frequency down-converted signal; and (d) updating a predetermined distortion control value in the look-up table to compensate for an error value generated in the power amplifier and an analog path occurring in steps (b) and (c) based on the compensated signal.

Further, the method and apparatus can subsequently calculate LLRs for corresponding domain bits each time the origin-shifted received signal is received.
