Abstract: A method and system for dispensing cryogenic fluids, such as liquified natural gas (LNG), using a swivel bayonet joint interconnecting first and second sections of cryogenic pipe. The swivel bayonet joint includes a male bayonet joint and a corresponding female bayonet joint. An insertion stem of the male bayonet joint is dimensioned to have a very high tolerance fit within the receiving sleeve of the female joint that extends a sufficient length for formation of a vapor trap by the cryogenic fluid between the insertion end of the stem and the clamp end of the receiving sleeve. The vapor trap prohibits movement beyond the vapor trap of any cryogenic fluid passing through the joint, consequently, elastomeric seals in the bayonet joint remain insulated from extremely cold temperatures of the cryogenic fluid.

Abstract: A system for dispensing cryogenic liquid includes a container defining an interior with a partition dividing the interior into primary and reserve chambers. Cryogenic liquid within the primary chamber is separated from cryogenic liquid in the reserve chamber. The partition provides a headspace cornrnurrrcation passage. A primary pressure building circuit has an inlet selectively in liquid communication with the primary chamber and an outlet in fluid communication with the headspaces of the primary and reserve chambers. A reserve pressure building circuit has an inlet selectively in liquid communication with the reserve chamber and an outlet in fluid communication with the headspaces of the primary and reserve chambers. Abstract: An annular seal for sealing an opening in a pump housing surrounding a piston rod includes a primary sealing portion with an inner surface adjacent to the piston rod and an outer surface adjacent to the pump housing. An initial sealing portion features an inner wall and an outer wall so that an annular space is defined therebetween. A top wall extends between the inner and outer walls. A coil spring is positioned within the annular space of the initial sealing portion and urges the inner wall into engagement with the piston rod and the outer wall into engagement with the pump housing.

Abstract: A cryocooler is described that can include a pressure wave generator, and a refrigeration device (for example, a cold-head), which can be used to liquefy a gas when the gas is exposed to a surface of the refrigeration device. The pressure wave generator can include one or more motors. Each motor can include a stator, and at least one electrical coil wound around a portion of the stator. The electrical coil can generate a reversing magnetic field when alternating electric current is passed through the electrical coil. The motor can further include a pressurized container that can be placed within the space enclosed by the stator, and a piston that can be placed inside the pressurized container. The stators can be placed external to the pressurized container. The piston is made by combining magnets that have opposite and transverse polarities, and are combined adjacently on a common reciprocating axis.
