    摘要： A method and a computing apparatus for authenticating an identification to prevent fraud are provided. The method includes: receiving a request for an interaction from a user; displaying a user interface that includes options for proving an identity of the user; receiving, from the user via the user interface, a selection of one of the options; accessing, from a card or a smart phone of the user, first information that corresponds to the selected option; retrieving, from an external database, second information that independently corresponds to the selected option; comparing the accessed first information with the retrieved second information; and determining whether to authenticate the identity of the user based on a result of the comparison.
