Abstract: Various embodiments of the teachings herein include a computer-aided method for transforming data in a relational database, containing sensor measurements, into RDF data blocks of a graph database. The method may include: providing a R2RML mapping file; breaking down and converting the data using the mapping file and a first mapping parser; generating a generation of RDF data blocks; and storing the generation as a database. After the data have been broken down and converted, checking a quality of the obtained R2RML mapping and creating a second R2RML mapping file, on the basis of which the relational data are broken down and converted into RDF data blocks. The second R2RML mapping, during the preparation of the relational data into RDF data blocks, automatically stops the processing of relational data that are not to be resolved and thus optimizes the energy efficiency of the preparation.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method that supports queries deploying operators based on multiple programming languages at least through determining schema compatibility between neighboring operators within a query. Upon receipt of a query, a sequence of operators of the query is identified, where the sequence of operators includes at least two neighboring operators including a first operator and a second operator representing a machine learning model. By determining schema compatibility between at least the first and second operators, the method either alerts a user to schema incompatibility before attempting to execute the query or determine that the schemas are compatible such that the query may be executed without the occurrence of errors due to schema incompatibility between neighboring operators. Advantageously, the method enables the integration of a machine learning model into the query while still ensuring schema compatibility.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for accessing derivative properties from a database utilizing a logical schema instruction that includes a base object identifier. A logical schema instruction may be received and analyzed to identify a predefined keyword. A portion of the logical schema instruction, that is located in relation to the predefined keyword, may be identified. The portion may include a base object identifier and a property identifier, e.g., a derivative property identifier. In an embodiment, the identified portion of the logical instruction is not translated to a database schema instruction at prepare time. Instead, an extract function is executed at runtime access and analyze a database table that corresponds to a base object associated with the base class identifier. A property in the database table that corresponds to the property identifier may be identified. Advantageously, a base object identifier may be utilized to access a derivative property.
