摘要： Systems and methods are provided for delivering content to a mobile device over a network. One method for delivering content comprises the steps of obtaining location information from a location tracking module of a mobile device and identifying, by the mobile device, an article of commerce. The method also includes transmitting the location information and identification of the article of commerce from the mobile device to a server. Steps by the server include identifying a retailer based on the location information and retrieving content related to the identified article of commerce, wherein the content is available from the identified retailer. The method then includes transmitting the content from the server to the mobile device.

摘要： A system and method for controlling and storing sensitive information on a global positioning system (GPS) device are provided. The system includes a locational information module for determining location information of the device; an encryption module for encrypting the location information; a processing module for storing the encrypted location information in a storage module; and an input module for inputting a code string for decrypting the location information. Information inputted to and/or generated by the device will be encrypted on the storage module. The storage module can be in any form currently available including optical media, or various types of removable memory cards or cartridges. Furthermore, the storage module may be internal memory and the GPS device may further include a transmission module or connection, e.g., hardwire or wireless, to port the information to a computer.

摘要： Systems and methods are provided for enabling a portable electronic device to retrieve information about an object when the object's symbology, e.g., a barcode, is detected. According to one embodiment a method is providing in which symbology associated with an object is detected and decoded to obtain a decode string. The decode string is sent to one or more visual detection applications for processing, wherein the one or more visual detection applications reside on the portable electronic device, and receiving a first amount of information about the object from the one or more visual detection applications. The method also includes sending the decode string to a remote server for processing and receiving a second amount of information about the object from the remote server. The first amount of information is combined with the second amount of information to obtain cumulative information which is displayed on the portable electronic device.

The method includes the steps of receiving an application to participate in the fund from at least one investor, the investor having a position in at least one commercial entity; evaluating the entity based on at least one predetermined criteria; if the entity is acceptable, performing a valuation of the position in the entity; and determining a number of shares of the fund to be exchanged for the position in the entity. The determining the number of shares step includes determining a future value of the position at a scheduled date of liquidation of the fund; dividing the future value of the position by a total current fund value plus the future value of the position to determine a ratio; and multiplying a number of shares of the fund by the ratio.

The apparatus, system and method provide a user with a graphic representation of the remote control device for each electronic appliance on a display controllable by a single, easy-to-use, intuitive transmitter. In addition, a memory for storing a widget is positioned within the electronic device or the apparatus. A microprocessor of the apparatus activates the widget and outputs the widget to a display. The widget and associated data is updatable and downloadable from a remote server without the need for the remote control device in which the widget is stored.

The device, system and method of the present disclosure provides for coupling an electronic information carrier to a reader device; receiving in the reader device at least one biometric identifier from the electronic information carrier; taking a biometric measurement of the individual; and comparing the at least one biometric identifier to the biometric measurement, wherein if the biometric measurement matches the biometric identifier, positively establishing the identity of the individual. Once the individual's identity is established, data such as a medical record may be access from the electronic information carrier. Furthermore, the record may be updated and written to the electronic information carrier. The biometric identifier may be a photo, a fingerprint, a hand geometry print, an iris scan, a retinal scan or a DNA fingerprint.
