摘要： A carrying case for a portable computer or other instrument requiring protection from injury during transport includes a body defining an interior recess, a lid for closing the recess, a bladder assembly in the recess including cushioning bladders and a cushioning and displacement bladder at the bottom of the recess and a sheath overlying the bladder. Insertion of an instrument into the recess collapses the cushioning and displacement bladder to pressurize all of the bladders in the assembly to engage and protect the computer from injury due to inertial shocks. The lid includes an insertion member which engages the computer when the lid is closed to move the computer to the final inserted position and increase the pressure in the bladder assembly.

摘要： A bag construction comprising an outer casing portion having a plurality of flexible outer walls, an inflatable bladder removably received in the casing portion, and preferably also a pocket element or the like for receiving articles in the bag and positioning them adjacent the bladder. The inflatable bladder acts to effectively cushion and protect the articles contained in the pocket element and hence the bag can be utilized for transporting relatively fragile articles, such as bottles containing cosmetics and the like in the pocket element. The bladder is inflatable from the exterior of the bag and it is removable from the casing portion to permit the use of the bag without the bladder and to facilitate the cleaning of the bag.

The first end portion and the second end portion are not urged against each other and are configured to allow the bent interior region to hang from the open edge. The second member includes a clasp or a ring for selectively retaining the one or more personal safety items. The locator hangs on the open edge and is retained in position by a removable fastener prior to a first use of the personal safety kit.

摘要： The present invention is a combined apparatus for storage for storing compressible articles. The combined apparatus including a combination of an expandable, air-tight storage bag and a soft-sided container for storing the storage bag therein. The soft-sided container having four side walls, a top portion, and a bottom portion defining a compact and low profile when in a collapsed state. A base support member is attached to the bottom portion of the container. At least one securing member is attached to the bottom portion of the container. In operation, as air within the storage bag is evacuated from the storage bag, the storage bag and the compressible articles stored therein collapse into the soft-sided container.
