摘要： The invention is a composite masonry block having a front surface and a back surface which are adjoined by first and second side surfaces, as well as a top surface and a bottom surface. Each of the side surfaces has an inset extending from the block top surface to the block bottom surface. The block top surface has one or more protrusions positioned adjacent the first and second insets on the block top surface. The block also has a protrusion which has an angled side wall, the angle being at least about 20null from vertical. The protrusion is positioned on the block so that it will mate with any opening of an adjacently positioned course. In use, the blocks may be stacked to provide an interlocking structure wherein the protrusions of one block interfit or mate within the insets of another block.

摘要： A retaining wall comprising a series of differently sized, pre-formed horizontal and vertical blocks. Each block includes a projection and a recess, with the projection and recess arranged and configured so that each projection effectively engages a recess in an adjacent course to operatively connect adjacent courses together. The horizontal, blocks are formed in incremental thicknesses and may be stacked in various combinations equivalent to the height of the vertical, blocks. The location of the abutment member relative to the block may be varied to enable adjacent courses to be coplanar or tiered in a variety of predetermined offset distances.

摘要： A masonry system including three types of different individual masonry blocks that can be stacked to form recessed horizontal and vertical belts in a wall formed from the masonry blocks. The masonry system includes a horizontal block having a decorative band extending horizontally along a front face surface of the horizontal block. The horizontal decorative band is recessed from the front face surface. The masonry system further includes a vertical block having a decorative band extending vertically in the front face surface of the vertical block. The vertical decorative band is recessed from the front face surface. The masonry system further includes an intersect block having both a horizontal decorative band and a vertical decorative band joined to each other. The intersect block can be positioned to provide the required transition between horizontal and vertical belts formed in a wall assembled by using the masonry system of the present invention.

摘要： The invention provides a wall structure of precast concrete sections (2) having face surfaces (10) which resemble natural ledgestone, ashlar, rock face, or other stone textures surfaces and shapes. The sections are provided with grooves (14) at the upper (4) and lower (8) surfaces. The grooves accept overflow of mortar or adhesive which coats the surface to which the sections are to be bonded. Thus, the excess mortar is substantially hidden within the grooves where it acts as additional bonding between the layers of sections. At their lateral surfaces (6), the sections are angled to further resemble the appearance of natural stone upon installation. Methods of installation are also provided.

摘要： Interfitting modular construction units include alternating plateaus and recesses which interfit with one another to form walls without mortar. Drainage grooves are defined in the units, bevels are provided on the perimeter of the front and back to give a brickface appearance to the wall, and shear notches are defined just behind the front and back, and the units are devoid of surfaces facing toward one side. Special corner units are provided, along with cap units having transverse bores. Retaining walls and fence walls employing the units at integral footings defined by the units and drainage passages defined by cooperating drainage grooves. Piers can be provided to permit the construction of higher walls.
