    摘要: A set for dismantling a target includes a disruptor having a firing axis and a device for aligning and positioning the disruptor in a deactivation direction relative to the target. A firing sub-set includes a movable mounting having a movable carriage mounted thereon to which the disruptor is fastened and provided with components for adjustment translation and orientation relative to the mounting. A mirror is oriented rearward of the disruptor and fastened to the disruptor perpendicular to the firing axis and having a centering mark centered on that axis. A pointing sub-set includes a laser mounted thereto and adapted to emit beams along an aiming line coaxial with the deactivation direction. The pointing sub-set is behind the firing sub-set relative to a target such that the mirror intercepts the laser aiming line at its centering mark and the disrupter firing axis is coaxial with the laser aiming line.

    摘要: A device and method for selectively illuminating and designating multiple targets in the air or on the ground simultaneously. The device comprises a light source, a switching array and a ball lens. Light from the light source is routed through the switching array, which can addressably output multiple light beams simultaneously. The light beams from the switching array illuminate the backside of a low F-number ball lens. The ball lens creates highly collimated output beams independently (and simultaneously) from any of the output source points of the switching array. These output beams can be used to simultaneously designate multiple targets. When the target illuminating device includes an optional detector array, light scattered from targets can be refracted by the balls lens to impinge on the detector array. Signals from the detector array representing the received light beams can be used for target imaging.

    摘要: An illumination assembly includes a laser for producing a laser beam of light and an optical fiber disposed adjacent the laser and extending between a beam receiving end for receiving the laser beam of light from the laser and a beam emitting end for emitting the laser beam of light therefrom. A beam splitter splits the laser beam into a target beam and a feedback beam and directs the target beam toward the targeted object. A feedback sensor receives the feedback beam and generates a feedback signal to identify a targeted image portion correlated to the targeted object. A motor is operatively connected to the vehicle with the beam emitting end fixedly secured thereto. A controller receives the feedback signal generated by the feedback sensor and generates a control signal transmittable to the motor to position the beam emitting end of the optical fiber such that the target beam continues to be directed toward the targeted object.

    摘要: A novel eye-safe, long range laser pointer system for use in day or night conditions is described. The system uses a short pulse laser and a gated camera to detect the laser spot at long ranges in the presence of a strong solar background. The camera gate is synchronized with incident laser pulses using a separate large area, fast photodiode to detect the high peak power pulses. Alternately, gate synchronization using a GPS-disciplined clock can be used. Eye-safe systems operating in the near-UV or SWIR band are described.

The firing units are coordination and synchronization unit (FUSU) tracks a target and assigns a master firing unit and slave firing units. The master firing unit sends a guide beam to the target, forming a local coordinate system on said target, while the slave firing units track the target and track at least one spot of EM (electromagnetic) radiation on the target. The slave units calculate a direction vector, and fire a power beam at the target, together with the master unit.
