摘要: Disclosed is a navigation system configured to track an object. The navigation system comprises a tracker configured to couple to the object and a localization device configured to track the tracker. The tracker and the localization device are configured to wirelessly communicate using a first communication method operable on a first spectrum and to wirelessly communicate using a second communication method operable on a second spectrum different from the first spectrum. The localization device utilizes the first communication method to track the tracker and utilizes the first communication method to manage an operating parameter of the tracker with respect to the second communication method.

摘要: An optical tracking system may include optical sensors (e.g., infrared (IR) cameras) coupled with illuminators (e.g., IR light-emitting diodes (LEDs)). The optical tracking system may track an object having retro-reflective markers. The light from the illuminators may be reflected by the retro-reflective markers and detected by the optical sensors. In certain cases, the object may include emitters (e.g., IR LEDs) such that active light emitted from the object is directly detected by the optical sensors. The optical sensors generate data based on detected light and send the data to a controller. The controller may compute position data (e.g., indicative of a relative 2D position between the object and the optical sensors). The controller may send the position data to the object optically (e.g., using IR light).

摘要: A coordinate measuring device is provided having a light source that emits a beam of light. A distance meter measures a distance to a target. A first locator camera assembly includes a first camera and first lights. A second locator camera assembly includes a second camera and second lights. The processor matches retroreflectors in a first image of the first camera and a second image of the second camera based on a shape-and-context matching of retroreflector spots in the first and second image and on an area-context-matching of background objects in the first and second image. The retroreflector spots in the first image produced by illumination of the retroreflectors by the first lights, the retroreflector spots in the second image produced by illumination of the retroreflectors by the second lights. The processor provides a third image that includes both the background objects and markers indicating the matched retroreflectors.

摘要: A LED panel wherein a plurality thereof are employed to construct a LED volume for filing simulated virtual environments wherein the LED panel of the present invention provides tracking of objects in the vicinity thereof such as but not limited to a camera wherein the tracking elements do not require post production removal. The LED panel includes a housing having a perimeter frame that has a transparent LED display mounted thereto. On the rear surface of the LED display or proximate thereto are a plurality of retroreflectors. The retroreflectors function to provide inside-out tracking of a camera disposed within the LED volume. The present invention further includes a plurality of lidar sensors and optical sensors mounted to the perimeter frame. The lidar sensors and optical sensors provide data for outside-in tracking of a camera within the LED volume. The retroreflectors can be provided in multiple alternate embodiments.

摘要: Methods and systems are disclosed for determining sensor degradation by actively controlling an autonomous vehicle. Determining sensor degradation may include obtaining sensor readings from a sensor of an autonomous vehicle, and determining baseline state information from the obtained sensor readings. A movement characteristic of the autonomous vehicle, such as speed or position, may then be changed. The sensor may then obtain additional sensor readings, and second state information may be determined from these additional sensor readings. Expected state information may be determined from the baseline state information and the change in the movement characteristic of the autonomous vehicle. A comparison of the expected state information and the second state information may then be performed. Based on this comparison, a determination may be made as to whether the sensor has degraded.

摘要: A system and method of calibrating a laser tracker is provided. The system includes a support system for quickly and easily moving an artifact to a desired position and orientation and for holding the artifact in the position and orientation. An adjustable alignment mirror is coupled to a first end of the artifact so that the more accurate ranging system of the laser tracker can be isolated to determine a reference length of the artifact. Additional measurements are then taken to exercise one or more error source within the tracker. The support system includes a positioner and a support beam for positioning and supporting the artifact. The artifact is coupled to the support beam using kinematic clamps that are designed to reduce or eliminate errors associated with over-constraining the artifact. The artifact is movable between a deployed configuration for use and a stowable configuration for ease of storage and transportation.

摘要: A motion measuring system comprises a plurality of sensors and at least one computing device in communication with the plurality of sensors. The plurality of sensors comprise one or more optical sensors and one or more body member sensors. A user interface provided by the at least one computing device is used to instruct a subject to perform a movement of one or more body members. An adjustment of one or more frequencies of one or more of the plurality of sensors is performed to reduce a power consumption of at least one of the plurality of sensors. The adjustment is performed based at least in part on the movement which the subject is instructed to perform. A motion of the subject is measured using the one or more optical sensors of the motion measuring system during or subsequent to performing the adjustment of the one or more frequencies.
