A private corpora is generated with the private corpora being associated with the user. The private corpora is generated from private data stores associated with the user as well as private data stores associated with other users. Access to the other user's private data sources is provided to the user by the other users. The system retrieves data responsive to the question from the private corpora. The responsive data is ranked based on its relevance to the question. Likely answers are identified based on the ranked responsive data and the likely answers are provided back to the user.

Users in public forums often mention certain topics in the course of their discussions. Member's comments in messages to other members are analyzed to obtain terms that co-occur with topics. Frequencies of co-occurrence of a term with topics are normalized based on frequency of the term in a random sample of message. The terms are ranked by their normalized frequency of co-occurrence with a topic in messages. The top terms are selected based on their rank. Analysis of demographic information associated with members that mentioned top terms associated with a topic is displayed in graphical format that highlights the relationship between the age, gender, and usage of the top terms over time. The demographic information presented includes average age of members that mentioned a top term or their gender information within a selected time interval.

Embodiments presented herein provide techniques for generating a recipe using text analytics methods. A server application receives a search query for a specified dish (e.g., from a client computer). The application retrieves recipes relevant to the specified dish (e.g., by crawling websites on the Internet) and extracts text from each recipe. The application performs a variety of text analytics methods on the text to identify different ingredients and preparation methods in creating the dish. Additional analytics are performed to loosely predict a recipe that conforms to the search query as well as dietary restrictions of a user.

Various of the disclosed embodiments concern systems and methods for applying legal analytics. In some embodiments, a legal analytics platform retrieves legal data from an electronic database, analyzes some or all of the legal data, and identifies interesting patterns and results of statistical analyses. In order to permit searching of the legal data, metadata elements or tags can be generated for legal entities and legal events. In some embodiments, the legal analytics platform identifies timestamps in the legal data and performs time-based statistical analysis. Results of the statistical analyses can be presented to a user via a graphical user interface (GUI), which may also allow the user to interact with the legal analytics platform and search one or more databases of legal data.

Data is provided that causes the identified search results and the knowledge panel to be presented on a search results page.
