摘要: An e-mail system is disclosed that overcomes many deficiencies of, but is backward compatible with, existing e-mail systems. Embodiments of the system may include various features, including but not limited to: (1) secure transfer of e-mail messages, without the need for users to replace existing e-mail clients or to change e-mail addresses; (2) tracking of all actions performed in connection with an e-mail transmission; (3) the ability for a recipient to view information about an e-mail message, optionally including information about how other addressees have responded to it, before deciding whether to retrieve the e-mail message; (4) the aggregation of entire e-mail conversations into a single threaded view; (5) the ability to include both private and public messages in a single e-mail communication; (6) sender control over downstream actions performed in connection with an e-mail message; (7) flexible control over cryptographic methods used to encrypt emails messages for storage.

摘要: A method comprising: accessing a record of past emails or IM messages between a first user and a plurality of other users; from amongst a set of entities (e.g. other users, user groups or folders), identifying a subset as preferred entities of the first user, wherein at least some of the preferred entities are identified automatically based on at least a frequency of interaction between the first user and each of the entities; independently of receiving any search queries, causing a graphical user interface to display a list of the preferred entities; and based on the first user selecting one of the entities from the list, causing the graphical user interface to display to the first user a filtered-down list of emails and IM messages, being some or all of the emails or IM messages communicated between the first user and the selected entity.

摘要: The system provides a method of sorting and presenting messages in a way so that the relationship in message threads can be easily observed and related messages can be identified. The system provides a way to view messages and map message threads and inboxes in two and three dimensions so that the content of messages can be easily reviewed and the relationship between messages can be seen and followed. The system is not limited to email messages but can present the relationship between multiple types of communications including emails, instant messages, texts, tweets, bulletin boards, wilds, blogs, voice conversations postings on social networks and other types of communications. In addition, the system allows for the inclusion of transactional information, including financial transactions, physical movement, asset deployment, or other acts or activities that may be related to, or independent of, the communications.

摘要: Techniques for extensible message indexing are described. In one embodiment, an apparatus may comprise a client front-end component of a messaging system operative to receive an incoming message from a client device; identify a sending client service for the incoming message at the client front-end component; determine a service identifier index value for the sending client service at the client front-end component; and store the incoming message in a message queue using the service identifier index value. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

摘要: Techniques for message indexing are described. In one embodiment, an apparatus may comprise a client front-end component operative to receive an incoming message from a client device at a client front-end component for a messaging system; and extract a message identifier for the incoming message from the incoming message, wherein the message identifier uniquely identifies the incoming message; and a message queue operative to store the incoming message in a message storage system based on indexing the incoming message based on the message identifier. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

摘要: A communication platform for ad-hoc virtual organization. An ad-hoc virtual organization that comprises a plurality of users, at least two of which utilize different and unaffiliated message servers for handling their communication messages, is determined. Communication messages of the plurality of users are obtained, wherein the communication messages comprise all communication messages determined to be related to the ad-hoc virtual organization. The communication messages are processed to determine aggregated data. At least a portion of the aggregated data is transmitted to a client of the user, whereby the client is enabled to utilize the aggregated data to improve user experience of the user using information obtained from other users.

摘要: A computing system includes a communication unit configured to receive a plurality of message histories, at least one processor, and at least one module. The at least one module is operable by the at least one processor to: determine, based on the plurality of message histories, a plurality of message and response pairs, determine a number of instances of each response for each message from the plurality of message and response pairs, classify each response from the plurality of message and response pairs as having an information type, and store an indication of each unique message from the plurality of message and response pairs, an indication of the information type associated with the respective response associated with the unique message, and a number of responses from the plurality of message and response pairs having the information type.

摘要: A first message may be displayed within a main chat room. The first message may be associated with a first topic. A second message may be displayed below the first message. The second message may be associated with a second topic. A third message may be received. The third message may be determined to be associated with the first topic. In response to the determining, the third message may be displayed by offsetting the third message below the first message, wherein the third message is displayed above the second message. The offsetting the third message below the first message may indicate a hierarchical relationship between the first message and the third message.
