摘要: A process for the simultaneous utilization of low expanded foam and medium expanded foam produced by respective generators thereof, for the extinction of fires, from liquefied gas comprising transporting the medium expanded foam by the faster traveling low expanded foam in order to provide a high velocity of flow of the medium expanded foam. The low expanded foam is produced by a plurality of generators disposed beneath a single generator of medium expanded foam and inclined with respect thereto to direct the jets of low expanded foam into the lower part of the jet of medium expanded foam.

摘要: The present invention discloses an improved compressed air foam pumping/generation system in which the compressed gas that is used to drive a pumping system is re-utilized and introduced into the outlet manifold to more efficaciously generate a compressed gas foam. A further improvement could include a three-way valve which controls the flow of the compressed gas so that the present invention could be used to generate CAF, aspirated foam (with use of an appropriate nozzle), gels or operate as a simple pump. Additional optional components include a check valve and flexible connection material.

摘要: A fire suppression apparatus for fighting fires from a vehicle configured for flight is disclosed, comprising a foam and water held in separate containers aboard the vehicle that when mixed forms a fire retardant, a pump driven by an electric motor to pressurize the fire retardant, the pump including an air induction valve where air is drawn into a suction end of the pump and pressurized together with the fire retardant, and an aimable boom connected to the pump by a conduit, the boom including a nozzle on a distal end of the boom from which the pressurized fire retardant and air is dispensed toward a target.

摘要: The invention relates to an optimized foam former (1) for foaming a foam-water concentrate, which foam former consists of a curved grate having diamond-shaped openings (13) and sharp edges (12). The structure of the foam former increases the foam formation and ensures uniform distribution of the foam over a large area. Existing water sprinklers having a nozzle (3) and a spray disk (2) can be provided with the foam former (1) and thus converted into foam sprinklers in a simple manner. The foam former (1) is arranged in such a way that the foam former (1) protrudes beyond the spray disk (2) toward the nozzle (3).
