    摘要: Pliers with a restoring function include an elastic element and two pliers bodies. The elastic element has two urging ends. The two pliers bodies have two pinching heads, two handles, and two pivotal parts. Each of the pivotal parts has a recess and a pivotal hole. A pivotal element goes through the two pivotal holes. The elastic element is disposed in the two recesses and penetrated by the pivotal element. Both urging ends of the elastic element are on opposite sides of the two recesses to urge sidewalls of the recesses, thereby opening the pliers. A buffer region is designed in each of the recesses for the corresponding urging end. When the opening angle of the pliers is greater than that is supported by the elastic element, at least one urging end of the elastic element releases its urging against the recess sidewall and moves in the buffer region. The pliers become relaxed then.

    摘要: Valve keeper pliers that facilitate the installation of the two-part valve keepers in an internal combustion engine, the pliers comprising jaws and handles with a pivot point therebetween, at least two grasping pins per keeper projecting outwardly from a shoulder stop at a terminal end of each jaw, the pins adapted to abut an outer surface of a keeper, and at least one magnet substantially flush with each shoulder stop for engaging an end of a keeper, the magnet adapted to releasably retain a keeper in contact with its grasping pins while minimizing the magnetic attraction between the pins and the engine, whereby each keeper is retained in contact with its magnets and pins without requiring grip pressure to retain it in place allowing easier insertion of the keeper, particularly in cases where the keeper has more than one retention groove. The jaws are preferably offset from a plane created by the handles to facilitate reaching into the locations where the valve keepers must be installed. A spring means for biasing the jaws in an open direction is preferably provided. The pliers may be made from a substantially non-magnetic material whereby the tendency of the pins to be magnetically drawn toward the engine is minimized.

    摘要: The invention relates to a replaceable die for pliers to press workpieces, such as for crimping pliers for pressing electrical connector elements. By replacing the die, the pliers can be adapted to the press operation to be performed, such as adapting a crimping pliers to different types and sizes of the connector elements to be pressed. The die according to the invention comprises a first and a second die half that can be inserted into the pliers together and removed from the pliers together. The two die halves each have a guide for this purpose. Both die halves each further have a first connecting element for releasably attaching the die to the pliers. Both die halves finally each have a second connecting element for releasably attaching the die to a storage fixture. This ensures that the die formed by the two die halves is held in the storage fixture during or after removal from the pliers, and remains therein for storage.

    摘要: A plier tool for closing clam shell type electrical connectors onto electrical wires includes a pair of handles, an upper jaw and a lower jaw. The upper jaw and the lower jaw are movable between an open position and a closed position. The jaws move relatively closer together during a closing operation upon squeezing together of the handles. An upper die member having a pivotal connection point is pivotally attached to the upper jaw for pivotal movement during the closing operation. The upper die member also has a generally planar upper contact surface. The upper contact surface is adapted to continuously contact and slide upon a lid portion of a clam shell type electrical connector during the closing operation. A lower die member is rigidly attached to said lower jaw and has a lower contact surface. The lower contact surface has a cavity therein sized to receive and retain a base portion of clam shell type electrical connector during the closing operation.
