Abstract: A suspension folder support system for placement within a file drawer includes four identical corner members that are defined by a planar web. Each corner member includes a hinge allowing a first side of the web member to be bent at a right angle to a second side. The web includes a pair of sleeves on opposite sides of and parallel to the hinge and a pair of channel members perpendicular to the hinge. Support rails and cross braces are included for insertion into the channels. Four legs or supports are also included for insertion into the sleeves. The support rails, cross braces and legs include frangible portions at spaced intervals to be broken to vary the length. The suspension file support system may be packaged in a single container including four interconnected corner members, two side rails, two cross members and four support posts.

Abstract: A filing unit for storage and retrieval of magnetic recording disks is disclosed. The unit includes a plurality of pockets or storage panels which can be removably stored in a modular holder and the holder itself can be combined with various other filing components, such as a storage binder having front and rear covers or a desk-top filing stand. In the preferred embodiment, the pocket is carried by a file bar affixed along one edge thereof. The holder includes a plurality of parallel channels each adapted to pivotally receive the file bar of a storage panel. Each channel includes retaining lugs which straddle the channel and are flexible to permit snap-insertion and removal of the bar from the holder.

Abstract: Apparatus for wall mounting a presentation board comprises a wall mounted support bracket, a hook shaped mounting member for detachably and pivotably engaging the support bracket, and an angled support member connecting the mounting member to the presentation board such that the board is supportable in an inclined position with respect to the mounting wall. Further apparatus is provided for mounting a bound presentation pad to the board in an orientation such that the unbound ends of a pad sheet are releasably retained against unintended displacement but successive sheets may be exposed by releasing covering sheets and allowing the released sheets to hang down from the bound ends.

Abstract: A clip is provided for use in the suspension filing of magazines, journals and like articles having sheets or pages held together in a spinal portion. The clip comprises a bifurcate part having two fingers engageable respectively inside and outside the spinal portion of a magazine to grip the spinal portion between them, and a hook part engageable over a side rail of a suspension filing system. By inserting a clip at each end of the spinal portion of a magazine and engaging the hooks over the two parallel rails of a suspension filing system, the magazine can be suspended with its spinal portion performing the function of the normal cross-bar in such a system.

Abstract: A support frame and method of making and packaging such frame which comprises a pair of similarly constructed end supports formed of readily bendable structural members, each having a specifically constructed notch configuration about which the structural members can be readily bent to define an inverted U-shaped end support. The arrangement is such that the ends of side rails for maintaining opposed end supports in predetermined spaced relationship are disposed within the respective notches whereby the notches closed about the end of a corresponding side rail to positively secure the rails to the end support during the bending and forming of the U-shaped end support. The structural members and side rails defining the complete support frame are packaged as elongated rectilinear members in complementary pairs with the side rails packaged between a pair of elongated unbent end support members so as to occupy a minimum of space for shipping or packing. Cross pieces are also provided for interconnecting the opposed leg portion of a formed end support, and which cross pieces can be readily nested between the elongated complementary end forming structural members in the packaged position.

Abstract: This invention relates to an improved suspension system for filing computer paper vertically in a file drawer or cabinet. A bundle of a desired number of sheets of paper may be filed using a system having a pair of assemblies, each of which has two members to engage the upper corners of the sheets of paper. The first member of each assembly has a flat panel-like portion which extends at an upper corner thereof to define a downwardly open hook and three vertically spaced horizontally extending prongs. The second member is flat and rectangular shaped and has three vertically spaced apertures which mate to receive the three prongs therethrough. The prongs of each first member are inserted through the upper three holes along one side of the computer paper, and the second member is then located on the prongs. This is repeated on the other side with the other assembly to hold the sheets of paper in a single bundle. The bundle is then located in the filing drawer and the outwardly projecting hook portions engage horizontal support bars to suspend the sheets of paper in the storage space. Sheets of paper may be added to or taken from any bundle in the drawer merely by easily manually removing the second member from each assembly and then replacing them after the sheets have been added or taken away. This system is very easy to use and extremely inexpensive to manufacture and the components are standard and interchangeable. In one embodiment, additional second members may be used to add more sheets to any bundle without separating the original members.
