Abstract:
A cutter chain support means and more particularly a mining apparatus supporting a cutter chain for dislodging mineral from a solid mined vein.
Abstract:
An improved auger mining machine is disclosed. The machine includes an auger string composed of a plurality of auger sections connected to each other and, at the rearward of the string, to a rotary drive means. Each connection is by means of a pin and socket joint which includes a locking means biasly mounted on the socket having associated therewith an unlocking member. A plurality of unlocking means are mounted on the machine to permit separation of one auger section from another and from the rotary drive means. The front unlocking means is pivotably mounted.
Abstract:
A demolition and scooping machine comprises a rigid supporting structure with a rotatable turntable mounted thereon. A clamp mechanism is provided for clamping the supporting structure to external supports. A boom assembly including an elbow section is pivoted on an upper surface of the turntable, and includes extensible boom structure pivoted at one of its ends to the outer end of the elbow section. Either a demolition tool or a scoop can be pivoted to the outer end of the extensible boom structure. The extensible boom structure and the elbow section are shaped such that the scoop or demolition tool can reach every point of at least the area directly beneath the supporting structure.
Abstract:
954,472. Mineral-mining machines. GEBR. EICKHOFF MASCHINENFABRIK UND EISENGINESSEREI. March 20, 1963 [March 22, 1962], No. 11011/63. Heading E1F. In a mineral-mining machine of the type in which at least one cutter assembly comprises a cutter drum or roller 8 carried by a vertically swingable arm 7 disposed at one side of the machine, the arm is carried by a hollow arbor 24 supported in spaced bearings within to extend across the gear head 6 of the machine. The arbor is such that a drive 20 may extend into the arbor at right angles to the axis thereof to a drive mechanism 26, 28 extending through the arbor to the cutter drum drive mechanism 29-32 supported by the arm. In the gear head of one embodiment of the machine a clutch, shaft and gearing arrangement permits of supply of power from one or more drive motors 12 simultaneously or selectively to the two vertically swingable cutter drum assemblies 8 8 1 and a cutter drum 11 positioned above the gear head, the haulage winch and the hydraulic power circuit of the machine.
