摘要: The method for flame coating tubular elements provides for arranging a said tubular element (2) to be coated at a coating station, providing an applicator unit (3), operating in the coating station, in an inactive configuration, spaced from the tubular element (2), the applicator unit (3) carrying at least one thermoplastic powders flame applicator device (4) and being alternatively operable between the inactive configuration and an active configuration, approached radially to the tubular element (2). After having brought the applicator unit (3) towards the tubular element (2), the method provides for operating the same unit (3) in the active configuration, so as to peripherally engage the element (2) itself. The applicator device (4) is turned on, the thermoplastic powders are fed and the applicator device (4) is operated in motion around and/or along the tubular element (2) so as to flame coating it with a controlled flow of thermoplastic powders.

摘要: A machine tool chip removal device including a coupling interface to couple with a rotatable spindle of a machine tool to facilitate rotation of the machine tool chip removal device about an axis at a rotational speed. The chip removal device can also include a main fluid channel with an opening to receive pressurized fluid from the machine tool. The chip removal device can further include a first fluid delivery channel and a second fluid delivery channel to direct fluid in different directions. Each fluid delivery channel can be in fluid communication with the main fluid channel. In addition, the chip removal device can include one or more valves associated with the first and second fluid delivery channels to selectively allow fluid passage from the main fluid channel to the fluid delivery channels. The one or more valves can be actuated by varying fluid pressure and/or rotational speed.

摘要: Methods for manufacturing foam wall structures are described. The methods include placing a wall structure proximate to a robotic arm, orienting an imaging device so that the imaging device on the robotic arm faces a cavity in the wall structure, surveying the cavity using the imaging device, determining a spray foaming pattern to fill the cavity to a selected depth with a foam layer, orienting the spray nozzle so the spray nozzle faces the cavity, and spray-applying the foam-forming composition into the cavity to the selected depth by passing the foam-forming composition through the spray nozzle to form the foam layer. Foam wall structure manufacturing systems that are suitable for carrying out such methods are also described.

摘要: A machine and a process for spraying a section of pipeline with air and water. The machine comprises an enclosure configured to surround a section of pipeline; a frame rotatable about a section of pipeline in the enclosure; rotating means operable to rotate the frame; a water delivery arrangement mounted on the frame and rotatable therewith to spray water around a section of pipeline in the enclosure; and an air delivery arrangement mounted on the frame and rotatable therewith to spray air around a section of pipeline in the enclosure. The machine may be used quenching or jet washing a section of pipeline. Optionally, the machine may comprise a heater arrangement mounted on the frame and rotatable therewith to help dry a section of pipeline after it has been jet washed.

摘要: An example method that includes receiving a geometry of an uncoated component and a measured coating thickness of a coated test; determining a simulated coating thickness based on the geometry and a first spray law including a plurality of first spray law parameters; determining a difference between the simulated coating thicknesses and the measured coating thickness; iteratively adjusting at least one first spray law parameter to determine a respective subsequent spray law and determining a respective subsequent difference between the measured coating thickness and a subsequent simulated coating thickness based on the geometry and the respective subsequent spray law; selecting a subsequent spray law from the plurality of respective subsequent spray laws based on the respective subsequent differences; and controlling a coating process based on the selected subsequent spray law to compensate for the difference.

A method of coating a substrate (S) using a thermo spray gun (10) includes mounting at least one nozzle tip (20) on the thermo spray gun (10) and spraying a coating material with the at least one nozzle tip (20).
