摘要: An electronics-enabled eyewear device includes a mode indicator comprising a series of light emitters arranged on a forward-facing surface of the eyewear device, for example being provided by a ring of LEDs arranged peripherally about a camera lens opening in a front surface of an eyewear frame. The mode indicator automatically displays different visual indications corresponding to different modes of operation or states of the eyewear device. One visual indication provides an animated pattern of circulating LEDs during video capture by the eyewear device.

摘要: In one embodiment, an eyewear frame for a user includes at least a front portion with two side portions; two speakers, one in each side portion; a connection region at one side portion, with an electrical connector having two conductive pads to connect to corresponding conductive contacts of a counterpart connector; a rechargeable battery; a microphone in the frame; and wireless communication circuitry in the frame. The connection region can be provided at an inside surface of one of the side portions. The eyewear frame can also include a touch-sensitive input surface on the eyewear frame configured to provide an input to the frame to perform a function. Another embodiment includes a headset at least with a touch-sensitive input surface and an electrical connector having a conductive pad to connect to a corresponding conductive contact of a counterpart connector.

摘要: An eyewear includes an adjustable nose bridge adapted to interconnect two half-frames of an eyeglasses frame. The two half-frames are adapted to hold a pair of see-through lenses. A virtual display is embedded in, or overlaid on, at least one of the pair of see-through lenses. The eyeglasses frame utilizes the adjustable nose bridge over a person's nose and temple pieces that rest over the person's ears to hold the pair of see-through lenses in position in front of the person's eyes. The virtual display has an associated eye box for full viewing of the virtual display by the person. The adjustable nose bridge includes one or more bridge-frame fastener arrangements adapted to provide independent adjustments of one or more geometrical parameters of the eyeglasses frame for aligning optics of the eyeglasses frame and the eye box to the user's face and eye geometry.

The electrical contact is large compared to the size of a battery charging contact to allow easy alignment. The frame may be tied to ground in one example, and to a positive potential in another example. In another example, the frame may be formed into a left portion that is electrically isolated from a right portion. The left portion has a contact coupled to a ground electrode of the battery and is configured to connect to a ground electrode of the battery charger. The right portion has a contact coupled to a positive electrode of the battery and is configured to connect to a positive potential of the battery charger.

摘要: Electronic eyewear device providing simplified audio source separation, also referred to as voice/sound unmixing, using alignment between respective device trajectories. Multiple users of electronic eyewear devices in an environment may simultaneously generate audio signals (e.g., voices/sounds) that are difficult to distinguish from one another. The electronic eyewear device tracks the location of moving remote electronic eyewear devices of other users, or an object of the other users, such as the remote user's face, to provide audio source separation using location of the sound sources. The simplified voice unmixing uses a microphone array of the electronic eyewear device and the known location of the remote user's electronic eyewear device with respect to the user's electronic eyewear device to facilitate audio source separation.

摘要: A contact lens charging case comprises a container sized and shaped to receive an electronic contact lens (“eCL”) and charging coil to couple to a coil of the eCL. In some embodiments, the charging coil comprises a diameter larger than a diameter of the coil of the eCL, so as to decrease sensitivity of the location and orientation of the eCL in the container and improve coupling between the coils. In some embodiments, the charging coil is dimensioned so as to extend at least partially around the container that receives the eCL.

摘要: A head-mounted device such as a pair of glasses may have display systems. The display systems may present images to eye boxes for viewing by a user. The glasses may have clear lenses through which real-world objects may be viewed from the eye boxes. The glasses may have a metal frame that surrounds the lenses and may have temples that are coupled to the frame using hinges. Radio-frequency transceiver circuitry such as cellular telephone transceiver circuitry may be coupled to one or more antennas in the head-mounted device. The antennas may have antenna resonating elements formed by placing dielectric-filled gaps in the metal frame to divide the frame into segments. Antenna resonating elements formed from segments of the metal frame may be coupled to the radio-frequency transceiver circuitry using transmission lines.
