Abstract: A driver seat airbag apparatus includes a steering wheel and an airbag module. The steering wheel has a central hub and a rim. The rim has a shape in which a portion of the upper portion of the hub is omitted. The hub includes: a module housing part which houses the airbag module; and a cover which covers the module housing and is cleavable at the expansion pressure of the cushion. The cover includes cover doors which open at the expansion pressure of the cushion. When the cover is cleaved, the cover doors are open in the right and left diagonal upward directions when viewed from the center of the hub, while a space portion without the cover doors is formed in the direction directly above the center of the hub when viewed from the center of the hub.

Abstract: The present invention is a side airbag device that is housed in the side support part of a vehicle seat and includes an airbag for restraining an occupant and an inflator. The airbag includes a first bag housing the inflator which is capable of inflating and deploying, and a second bag capable of inflating and deploying on the side of the first bag. The second bag is configured to be deployed by inflation gas flowing in from the first bag. At the upper edge of the second bag, an inclined part is formed that is inclined to be lower at the front thereof than at the rear thereof when viewed from the vehicle width direction. The front portion of the inclined part is configured so as to be located lower than the center line extending in the longitudinal direction of the upper arm of the occupant seated in a vehicle seat.

Abstract: A motor vehicle with at least one first seat (10) and at least one second seat (12) is described. Abstract: This invention relates to a side airbag device stored inside a vehicle seat and fixed to a side frame. The device includes an airbag that expands and deploys to restrict an occupant; an inflator that supplies expansion gas to the airbag; and a bracket connected to the side frame that holds the airbag and the inflator. The airbag includes a prepush chamber having an inflator stored therein and mainly deploys inside of the side frame; and a main chamber connected to the prepush chamber and mainly deploys forward of the side frame. The bracket includes a first surface oriented in the forward direction of the vehicle; and a second surface oriented to the inside of the seat in the width direction of the vehicle. When the airbag is stored by being folded and/or rolled, at least the main chamber is disposed on the first surface of the bracket.

Abstract: A program and a control device capable of calibrating a detection value of a sensor that detects contact with a steering wheel are provided. The program in accordance with the present invention is characterized by causing a computer to execute processing of distinguishing whether or not a user is on a driver's seat of a vehicle; acquiring, from a sensor (21) that converts contact with a steering wheel (2) into an electric signal for detection, a detection value of the detected electric signal; determining whether or not a difference between the detection value acquired when it has been distinguished that the user is not on the driver's seat, and a reference value is equal to or larger than a threshold value; and setting the detection value as the reference value when it has been determined that the difference is not equal to or larger than the threshold value.
