    Abstract: A driver seat airbag apparatus includes a steering wheel and an airbag module. The steering wheel has a central hub and a rim. The rim has a shape in which a portion of the upper portion of the hub is omitted. The hub includes: a module housing part which houses the airbag module; and a cover which covers the module housing and is cleavable at the expansion pressure of the cushion. The cover includes cover doors which open at the expansion pressure of the cushion. When the cover is cleaved, the cover doors are open in the right and left diagonal upward directions when viewed from the center of the hub, while a space portion without the cover doors is formed in the direction directly above the center of the hub when viewed from the center of the hub.

    Abstract: The present invention is a side airbag device that is housed in the side support part of a vehicle seat and includes an airbag for restraining an occupant and an inflator. The airbag includes a first bag housing the inflator which is capable of inflating and deploying, and a second bag capable of inflating and deploying on the side of the first bag. The second bag is configured to be deployed by inflation gas flowing in from the first bag. At the upper edge of the second bag, an inclined part is formed that is inclined to be lower at the front thereof than at the rear thereof when viewed from the vehicle width direction. The front portion of the inclined part is configured so as to be located lower than the center line extending in the longitudinal direction of the upper arm of the occupant seated in a vehicle seat.

    Abstract: A motor vehicle with at least one first seat (10) and at least one second seat (12) is described. The second seat (12) is located rear of the first seat (10) and the first seat has one position of operation in which it faces the second seat (12). An air-bag module with an inflatable airbag device (20) being positioned between the first seat (10) and the second seat (12) when in its fully deployed state is provided. Said inflatable airbag device (20) has a first impact surface (22) pointing towards the first seat (10), a second impact surface (24) pointing towards the sec- and seat (12), a main support surface (26) adjacent to or abutting a structural element of the vehicle, and a connecting surface (28) remote from the support surface (26) and extending between the impact surfaces (22, 24). Especially in order to improve the deployment behaviour, the connecting surface (28) is at least partially concave, such that a recess (R) is formed.

    Abstract: An airbag that includes an inner bag having a facing surface configured to face a passenger of a vehicle in the deployed state, an outer bag that surrounds the outer periphery of the inner bag with the facing surface exposed, and two protrusion parts which are provided in the outer bag and are respectively disposed on the left and right sides in the width direction of the vehicle with respect to the facing surface so as to protrude rearward. The inner bag and the outer bag may be partitioned by a common partition wall, with a ventilation port formed in the partition wall. Moreover, the inner bag and the outer bag may each be independent bag bodies, a ventilation port may be formed in both the inner bag and the outer bag, and the inner bag and the outer bag may be coupled around the ventilation port.

    Abstract: Problem: To provide a damper mechanism of a steering wheel and a steering wheel apparatus for a vehicle in which it is possible to ensure a damping effect comparable to that of the known art and to decrease an airbag module in size so as to achieve a reduction in cost.
    Solution: A damper mechanism of a steering wheel includes: two damper units 11 that are provided between a steering wheel 1 and an airbag module 2 functioning as a damper mass and damp vibration of the steering wheel; and an engaging mechanism (hook of a plate-shaped damper 18) that is provided in parallel with the damper unit, between the steering wheel and the airbag module, and holds the steering wheel and the airbag module in a relatively displaceable manner.

    Abstract: A program and a control device capable of calibrating a detection value of a sensor that detects contact with a steering wheel are provided. The program in accordance with the present invention is characterized by causing a computer to execute processing of distinguishing whether or not a user is on a driver's seat of a vehicle; acquiring, from a sensor (21) that converts contact with a steering wheel (2) into an electric signal for detection, a detection value of the detected electric signal; determining whether or not a difference between the detection value acquired when it has been distinguished that the user is not on the driver's seat, and a reference value is equal to or larger than a threshold value; and setting the detection value as the reference value when it has been determined that the difference is not equal to or larger than the threshold value.
