Abstract: Fluid tight blind fasteners and methods tor fastening are provided. The sleeve comprises a first sleeve end comprising a first inner surface, a second sleeve end comprising a second inner surface, and an elongate portion extending from the first sleeve end to the second sleeve end. The first inner surface and the second inner surface define a sleeve cavity extending into the sleeve from the first sleeve end toward or to the second sleeve end. The pin is configured to be at least partially received by the sleeve cavity. The pin comprises a first pin end portion configured to receive a torque, a second pin end, and a shank extending from the first pin end portion to the second pin end. Tire shank comprises threads and the threads are configured to form threads on the second inner surface of the sleeve.

Abstract: A method includes inserting a machining tool through a hole of at least one workpiece that includes a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface and extends from the first surface to the second surface. The hole forms an inner wall. The machining tool includes a shaft and a cutting tip proximate to one end of the shaft. The cutting tip includes a cutting portion. The method includes positioning the cutting portion of the cutting tip to abut an edge of the hole. The edge is located at a junction of the second surface of the one of the at least one workpiece and the inner wall. The method includes forming a surface modification at the edge with the cutting tip. The method includes removing the machining tool from the hole. The method includes installing a fastener within the hole. The fastener engages the surface modification.

Abstract: A wheel cover assembly for a vehicle wheel may include a wheel rib that is attachable to a rim inner surface of a wheel rim of the vehicle wheel, a cover body having a cover body outer surface, a cover body inner surface, and a cover body outer edge having an outer diameter that is greater than an inner diameter of the wheel rib and less than an inner diameter of an open end flange of the wheel rim. A cover mounting mechanism operatively connected to the cover body has a cover locking position wherein the cover mounting mechanism engages the wheel rib to retain the wheel rib between the cover mounting mechanism and the cover body and secure the wheel cover assembly to the vehicle wheel when the wheel rib is attached to the rim inner surface.
