The first region comprises an inner surface and an outer surface comprising a tire bead seat. The second region extends radially inwardly from the first region. The second region is configured to mount to a vehicle axle. The flange extension extends from the first region in a direction away from the second region. The flange extension comprises a first extension end integral with the first region, a second extension end, and an elongate portion intermediate the first extension end and the second extension end. The elongate portion comprising a first portion with a thickness less than a thickness of the second extension end.

    摘要: An aircraft wheel hub protector is adapted to engage an aircraft wheel including an aircraft tire on a rim. The aircraft wheel hub protector having two or more cover sections with a protective protrusion and coupling mechanism guide extending from the a first cover section and passing through a bearing race and internal surface within a hub of the rim of the aircraft wheel in such a fashion so as to provide a void within the protective protrusion. The second cover section is engaged with an opposed side of the aircraft wheel from the first cover section. A coupling mechanism passes through the void in the protective protrusion without having contact with the bearing race and internal surfaces within the hub of the rim and coupling the first cover section and securing the aircraft wheel hub protector to the aircraft wheel.

    摘要: An improved wheel cover for large commercial vehicle trailers is disclosed. It includes simple and robust mechanism for attachment with the wheel, facilitates easy installation and removal, and provides better aerodynamics and fuel efficiency during travel. In a preferred embodiment, an annular flexible shell cover (covering an annular magnet) of the wheel cover, deforms and frictionally fits into hollow of a corresponding wheel flange, and the annular magnet (lying under the shell cover) keeps the shell cover magnetically attached (with a strong magnetic bonding) with the flange. Hence, in addition to the magnetic bonding, the installed wheel cover is held in place by a friction fitting between the shell cover and the flange. The outer side of the wheel cover can either be kept planar or curved, and its surface can be dimpled or smooth.

    摘要: A cooling fan mounted on the hub between two tires of a vehicle, especially large tractor trucks and trailers. The wheel mounted cooling fan has a multiplicity of fan blades which extend inwardly and downwardly toward the rim of the interior tire and is mounted between the rims of the inner tire and outer tire with the rear surface of the wheel mounted cooling fan facing the inner tire. The inner fan serves to provide beneficial effect including cooling of the brakes and increasing fuel mileage of the truck. While primarily intended for use with large trucks, the cooling fan can also be sized to fit smaller trucks which have two pairs of wheels in the front and/or the back.

The wheel cover has a side provided with a plurality of projecting members each having a periphery provided with at least two connecting seats. The fastening unit includes a plurality of locking members detachably mounted on the connecting seats of the projecting members, and a plurality of elastic members mounted between the projecting members and the locking members. Each of the locking members has a first side provided with a locking recess corresponding to each of the projecting members and mounted on each of the elastic members. Each of the locking members has a second side provided with a protrusion. Thus, the fastening unit is detachable and can be removed and replaced when being worn out, so that the wheel cover can be reused.
