Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a vehicle wheel hub cover, a vehicle wheel, a powered vehicle, and a related method of manufacture. The vehicle wheel hub cover comprises a first curved region and at least two protrusions radially disposed about a periphery of the first curved region. Each of the at least two protrusions comprises a first end, a second end, an elongate portion extending from the first end to the second end, and an inner surface defining a cavity configured to receive a lug of a vehicle wheel. The first ends of each of the at least two protrusions are disposed within a plane. Abstract: A dynamic vehicle wheel balance apparatus, a vehicle wheel, a powered vehicle, and a related method for manufacture are provided. The dynamic vehicle wheel balance apparatus comprises a vehicle wheel cover and a dynamic vehicle wheel balance ring. The vehicle wheel cover comprises a first surface, a second surface, and a perimeter surface connecting the first surface to the second surface. The vehicle wheel cover is configured to removably attach to a flange of a vehicle wheel with the second surface opposing the vehicle wheel. The dynamic vehicle wheel balance ring is attached to the second surface of the vehicle wheel cover. The dynamic vehicle wheel balance apparatus dynamically balances the vehicle wheel during rotation of the vehicle wheel and reduces aerodynamic drag.

Abstract: A method includes inserting a machining tool through a hole of at least one workpiece that includes a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface and extends from the first surface to the second surface. The hole forms an inner wall. The machining tool includes a shaft and a cutting tip proximate to one end of the shaft. The cutting tip includes a cutting portion. The method includes positioning the cutting portion of the cutting tip to abut an edge of the hole. The edge is located at a junction of the second surface of the one of the at least one workpiece and the inner wall. The method includes forming a surface modification at the edge with the cutting tip. The method includes removing the machining tool from the hole. The method includes installing a fastener within the hole. The fastener engages the surface modification.

Abstract: New aluminum alloys are disclosed and generally include 0.6-1.4 wt. % Si, 0.25-0.90 wt. % Mg, wherein the ratio of wt. % Si to wt. % Mg is from 1.05:1 to 5.0:1, 0.25-2.0 wt. % Cu, 0.10-3.5 wt. % Zn, 0.01-1.0 wt. % Fe, up to 0.8 wt. % Mn, up to 0.25 wt. % Cr, up to 0.20 wt. % Zr, up to 0.20 wt. % V, and up to 0.15 wt. % Ti, wherein the total of Fe+Mn+Cr+Zr+V+Ti is not greater than 2.0 wt. %, the balance being aluminum and impurities. The new aluminum alloys may include Q phase precipitates. In some embodiments, the solvus temperature of the Q phase precipitates is not greater than 950° F.
