摘要: New aluminum alloys are disclosed and generally include 0.6-1.4 wt. % Si, 0.25-0.90 wt. % Mg, wherein the ratio of wt. % Si to wt. % Mg is from 1.05:1 to 5.0:1, 0.25-2.0 wt. % Cu, 0.10-3.5 wt. % Zn, 0.01-1.0 wt. % Fe, up to 0.8 wt. % Mn, up to 0.25 wt. % Cr, up to 0.20 wt. % Zr, up to 0.20 wt. % V, and up to 0.15 wt. % Ti, wherein the total of Fe+Mn+Cr+Zr+V+Ti is not greater than 2.0 wt. %, the balance being aluminum and impurities. The new aluminum alloys may include Q phase precipitates. In some embodiments, the solvus temperature of the Q phase precipitates is not greater than 950° F.

摘要: A fastener including a pin member having a shank portion, a threaded portion having a thread, a lock portion having at least one lock groove, and a pull portion located having at least one pull groove. The threaded portion is adapted to be engaged threadedly with a threaded hole of a workpiece to install the pin member therein. The fastener includes a swage collar adapted to be installed into the at least one lock groove of the lock portion to secure a plurality of workpieces. The pull portion is adapted to break off when the fastener is installed.

摘要: A hybrid electrode for resistance spot welding and a method of resistance welding are provided. The hybrid electrode comprises a pin and a collar member. The pin comprises an electrically conductive material and a pin contact surface. The collar member comprises a material that is at least one of less electrically conductive than the electrically conductive material of the pin and less thermally conductive than the electrically conductive material of the pin. The collar member comprises a collar member contact surface, and defines an inner cavity and a longitudinal axis. The pin is at least partially disposed in the inner cavity and the pin contact surface extends away from the collar member and is offset a distance along the longitudinal axis from the collar member contact surface.

摘要: Rivet dispenser reloading systems and methods of use thereof are provided. A non-limiting embodiment of a rivet dispenser reloading system comprises a receiving member defining a channel therein, and a first gate. The rivet receiving member comprises a first port and a second port that communicate with the channel. The first port is configured to receive rivets. The second port is configured to selectively engage with a rivet dispenser and introduce rivets to the rivet dispenser. The channel extends between the first port and the second port and is configured to transport rivets from the first port to the second port in a series arrangement and in a preselected orientation. The first gate is in communication with the second port and is selectively positionable between a first configuration inhibiting movement of rivets through the second port, and a second configuration enabling movement of rivets through the second port.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to new titanium alloys and methods for making the same. The new titanium alloys generally include 4.75-6.75 wt. % Al, 6.5-8.5 wt. % (Nb+Ta), 1.5-3.5 wt. % Sn, up to 5.0 wt. % Zr, and up to 2.5 wt. % Mo, the balance being titanium, optional incidental elements, and impurities. Due to their composition and methods of manufacture, the new titanium alloys may find use in several applications, such as aerospace and/or automotive applications.

In an open configuration of the collet, each of the at least two fingers includes an outward taper relative to a longitudinal axis of the collet.

A cover mounting mechanism operatively connected to the cover body has a cover locking position wherein the cover mounting mechanism engages the wheel rib to retain the wheel rib between the cover mounting mechanism and the cover body and secure the wheel cover assembly to the vehicle wheel when the wheel rib is attached to the rim inner surface.

摘要: New aluminum alloys having magnesium and zinc are disclosed. The new magnesium-zinc aluminum alloys may include from 2.5 to 4.0 wt. % Mg, from 2.25 to 4.0 wt. % Zn, wherein (wt. % Mg/wt. % Zn)≥1.0, and wherein (wt. % Mg/wt. % Zn)≤1.6, from 0.20 to 0.9 wt. % Mn, from 0.10 to 0.40 wt. % Cu, up to 1.0 wt. % Li, up to 0.50 wt. % Fe, up to 0.50 wt. % Si, and optional secondary element(s), the balance being aluminum, optional incidental elements and impurities.
