    Abstract: A roof system for a vehicle having an opening in a roof includes a panel and a guide rail at each longitudinal side of said opening. An operating mechanism operates the closure panel in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The operating mechanism includes a front device including a lever for moving the front edge of the panel in a vertical direction. A driving slide is slidably accommodated in each guide rail and is drivable by a drive member. The lever is connected to the driving slide through a pin-curve assembly and is provided with a slide-shoe. A curve of the pin-curve assembly has a first curve section extending horizontally allowing a pin to slide along to move the rear of the panel vertically. A locking curve section extends mainly in vertical direction to allow the driving slide to rotate the lever.

    Abstract: A control unit is configured to be mounted in a center portion of a vehicle roof in a passenger compartment of a vehicle. The center portion of the vehicle roof is defined as a surface area of the vehicle roof that extends in a main driving direction from a backrest of a front seat in the passenger compartment to a backrest of a back seat; and is arranged in a transverse direction centered between a first lateral edge of the vehicle roof and an opposite second lateral edge of the vehicle roof, the transverse direction being perpendicular to the main driving direction. The control unit is configured to sense at least one condition in the passenger compartment; provide at least one user interaction function; and communicate with a further control unit in the vehicle.

    Abstract: An open roof assembly for use in a vehicle roof of a vehicle comprises a moveably arranged closure member for selectively covering or at least partially exposing an opening in the vehicle roof. Further, an electric motor operatively coupled to the closure member is provided for moving the closure member. A control unit is operatively coupled to the electric motor for controlling the closure member. The control unit is configured to control a position of the closure member during normal driving conditions, and to release control of the position of the closure member, when a vehicle acceleration exceeds a predetermined acceleration threshold. Thus, upon a high force on the closure member, induced by the high acceleration and weight of the closure member, damage may be prevented by absorbing the high forces in a motion of the closure member and a resistance of the electric motor.

    Abstract: An open roof construction for a vehicle having at least one opening in the fixed roof, includes a stationary part for attachment to the roof. It carries at least two guide rails alongside the roof opening. At least one closure having a front and a rear side is supported by an operating mechanism guided on the guide rails. The closure is adjustable between a closed position, in which it closes the roof opening, and an open position in which it is at least partly moved out of the roof opening. The operating mechanism includes at least one first support member adjustably supporting the closure near its front side, and at least adjustable second support members adjustably supporting the closure a distance behind the front side. Each support member includes two separate drive sources to be able to adjust each support member independently in horizontal and vertical direction.

    Abstract: Sunshade system for a vehicle roof assembly, comprising a flexible sunscreen having at least a main part with two opposite lateral edges with guiding strips attached thereto. Each guiding strip comprises inwardly foldable parts foldable inwardly towards a centerline of the sunshade in an acute angle with the main part of the guiding strips and being folded flat in the same plane as the main part when the sunscreen is wound on the shaft. A foldable first hinge part extends in longitudinal direction of said strip formed as a depression. Two opposed longitudinal guides are provided with locking members and with guide chambers for engaging the inwardly foldable part of the flexible sunscreen. Each guiding strip is made of thermoplastic material and comprises at least a second hinge part extending parallel to the first hinge part, longitudinally along the guiding strip.

    Abstract: An open roof construction for a vehicle includes a stationary part, a movable first panel and a second panel. The first panel is movably supported by an operating mechanism guided in one or more rails of the stationary part extending at least along a part of the inner roof edge of the opening and rearwardly thereof. The first panel is movable by at least a panel support and is capable of moving with respect to one of the rails and thereby displacing the first panel rearwardly above the second panel. The second panel and/or inner roof edge and/or the stationary part is provided with a deformable seal capable of sealing a gap between the second panel and the adjacent inner roof edge of the fixed roof. The panel support is adapted to deform the seal when it moves through the gap between the second panel and the inner roof edge.

    Abstract: A rollo assembly for use in a vehicle with an opening, includes a shaft, a screen wound on/off said shaft where a forward end is provided with a beam and opposite channels guide edges of the screen and ends of the beam. Drive cables are provided with connecting members for drivingly engaging respective counter connecting members provided at ends of the beam. The shaft, beam and screen are combined into a detachable unit which, when the screen is substantially fully wound onto the shaft and the cables assume a position in which the connecting members at least partially protrude from a longitudinal end of the channels, can be moved relative to said channels for connecting or disconnecting the counter connecting members to or from the connecting members. A support maintains the connecting members of the cables, when maximally protruding from said longitudinal end of the channels, in a well-defined position.
