Abstract:
A high yield method for fermenting carbohydrate to ethanol, comprising a) treating carbohydrate with a composition containing 10-90 wt % of an aldehyde selected from the group consisting of an formaldehyde, para-formaldehyde, glutaraldehyde and mixtures thereof, 1-50 wt % of a surfactant having an I JLB from 4 to 18, 0-20 wt % of an antimicrobial terpene, or essential oils, 1-50 wt % of organic acids selected from C1-24 fatty acids, their salts, and glyceride esters thereof, and 1-50 wt % water, b) fermenting said carbohydrate in the presence of yeast in a fermentation broth, and c) isolating ethanol in a higher yield than would be obtained without step a).
Abstract:
A disposable absorbent article to be worn about the lower torso of a wearer that facilitates an easy, intuitive change is provided. The disposable absorbent article includes at least one serviceable indicium that facilitates an easy change by providing alignment of the article relative to an anatomical feature of the wearer or by externally highlighting one or more components of the article thereby indicating alignment and fit about the wearer's lower torso.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented method represents a list of informational items using a bit array. The method converts an informational item to a cryptographic value using a cryptographic algorithm and extracts a plurality of n-bit samples from the cryptographic value. The n-bit samples includes at least a first field and a second field. The first field identifies a group of bits of the bit array and the second field identifies one or more individual bits within the group of bits. The individual bits are set to a pre-determined value according to the first field identifying the group of bits and the second field identifying the individual bits within the group of bits.
Abstract:
This invention provides methods, apparatus, and systems for classifying addresses. An address is evaluated based upon a postal code or standardized postal code, such as a U.S. Postal Service ZIP+4 code, serving the address. If the address cannot be classified based on the standardized postal code, the address is classified based on additional information, such as a U.S. Postal Service delivery point code. A mailer may then determine whether the address is a business or residential (or non-business) address. Furthermore, a mailer may predict when surcharges may apply and compare the rates of various carriers.

Abstract:
Systems and methods for electronically correcting uncoded addresses include collecting uncoded addresses in an uncoded address database, sorting uncoded addresses by postal code, automatically emailing delivery personnel to notify them they have records to resolve, limiting personnel's access to various postal codes, correcting and/or adjusting the address, determining whether the corrected address delivery point validates, and if no match can be made after correcting and/or adjusting the address, sending the address to a delivery unit with Delivery Force Knowledge™ to correct the address and return the correction for delivery point validation.

Abstract:
An ink supply system for an ink jet printer including an ink bottle having a cap assembly secured to an outlet neck, an ink reservoir having an ink filling passage, and an insert receptacle positioned within the ink filling passage. The insert receptacle includes a probe having an inlet end and an outlet end. The system also includes an actuating assembly that is configured to mate the ink bottle with the ink reservoir by mating the cap assembly of the ink bottle with the probe of the insert receptacle.
Abstract:
Providing a corrected delivery address comprises receiving a plurality of first data elements, each of the plurality of first data elements comprising a first portion and a second portion. Next providing a corrected delivery address comprises providing a second data element, the second data element corresponding to one of the plurality of first data elements and comprising a corrected version of the second portion of the corresponding first data element. Then providing a corrected delivery address comprises receiving an indication that none of the second portions of the plurality of first data elements match the second data element and providing, in response to the indication, a link associating the second data element with the first data element corresponding to the second data element.
Abstract:
Relatively pure monopotassium phosphate is produced from wet process phosphoric acid in a process wherein the phosphoric acid is mixed with potassium chloride and recycled components from downstream product and by-product recovery steps and heated to permit hydrogen and chloride to evolve from the melt as gases and wherein the melt is subsequently treated so as to remove impurities so that the monopotassium phosphate may be recovered as a relatively pure crystalline product with low chloride content.
