    Abstract: A display system includes a light emitting array and a driving device. The light emitting array includes multiple scan lines, multiple drive lines and multiple light emitting elements. The driving device includes a controller, a charge balance line and a charge sharing circuit. The controller generates a control output. The charge sharing circuit is coupled to the drive lines, the charge balance line and the controller, and receives the control output from the controller. With respect to each of the drive lines, the charge sharing circuit is operable, based on the control output, to establish or not establish an electrical connection between the drive line and the charge balance line.

    Abstract: A scan-type display apparatus includes an LED array and a data driver. The LED array has a common cathode configuration, and includes multiple scan lines, multiple data lines and multiple LEDs. The data driver includes multiple data driving circuits, each of which includes a current driver and a detector. The current driver has an output terminal connected to the data line corresponding to the data driving circuit, and outputs one of a drive current and a clamp voltage at the output terminal of the current driver based on a pulse width control signal. The detector is connected to the current driver, and generates a detection signal that indicates whether any one of the LEDs connected to the data line corresponding to the data driving circuit is short circuited based on a detection timing signal and a feed-in voltage related to a voltage at the output terminal of the current driver.

    Abstract: A backlight driving method includes steps of: (A) receiving a piece of image data that includes a number (K) of segments, where K≥2; (B) generating a piece of adjustment data that includes a number (K) of segments; each segment of the adjustment data being generated based on a respective segment of the image data and upon receipt of the respective segment of the image data; (C) generating, based on a piece of delay data and on an original synchronization control (SC) signal that has a pulse, an internal SC signal that has a number (K) of pulses; and (D) generating a backlight driving output based on the adjustment data and the internal SC signal, so as to drive a backlight source of a scan-type display to emit light.

    Abstract: A scan-type display apparatus includes a light emitting module, a display module, a control module and a driver module. The light emitting module includes an LED array having a common anode configuration. The control module generates an image stream, a plurality of switching signals that cause the LED array to emit light in a line scan manner, and an image refresh signal that is related to refreshing of images on a display constituted by the light emitting module and the display module. The driver module generates a drive output to drive the display module, such that the display shows images represented by the image stream and that the refreshing of images on the display is synchronous to the line scan.

    Abstract: A method for transferring micro light emitting diodes (micro-LEDs) includes forming a plurality of micro light emitting diode (micro-LED) chips having an epitaxial stacked layer and an electrode on a base; attaching the electrodes of the micro-LED chips to a temporary substrate and removing the base from the micro-LED chips; forming a light shielding layer on the temporary substrate; forming a light-transmissible packaging layer to cover the light shielding layer and the micro-LED chips; removing the temporary substrate to form a light emitting assembly; dividing the light emitting assembly to separate a plurality of pixels constituted by the micro-LEDs; and transferring the pixels to a permanent substrate.

    Abstract: A backlight driving method is provided to include generating switching signals based on an internal synchronization control (ISC) signal related to refreshing of images on the display, a clock signal, and delay commands contained in a serial input signal that further contains an image stream. A time delay of each switching signal with respect to the ISC signal is determined by the clock signal and a respective delay command, and the time delays of the switching signals are different from one another. The method further includes generating driving signals based on the ISC signal, the clock signal and the serial input signal; and outputting the signals thus generated, to drive the backlight module to emit light in a line scan manner.
