    Abstract: A multi-tap device for a cable television (CATV) system includes a tap housing and a faceplate configured to be connected to the tap housing. The device also includes a first circuit board configured to be connected to the tap housing. The device also includes a second circuit board configured to be connected to the faceplate and to the first circuit board. The device also includes an access cover connected to the tap housing. The access cover is configured to be opened to provide access to disconnect the first circuit board from the tap housing and from the second circuit board and to subsequently remove the first circuit board from the tap housing, thereby changing a tap value of the multi-tap device. The second circuit board is configured to remain connected to the faceplate and positioned within the tap housing when the first circuit board is removed from the tap housing.

    Abstract: A connector for a coaxial cable includes a coupler portion configured to engage an interface port, a housing portion having a forward end configured to be disposed at least partially within the coupler portion, and an outer conductor engager portion made of a conductive material disposed within the housing portion. The housing portion includes a rearward end configured to receive the coaxial cable, the housing portion is configured to move axially relative to the outer conductor engager portion, and an interior surface of the housing portion is configured to compress the outer conductor engager portion when the housing portion is moved axially relative to the outer conductor engager portion such that an interior surface of the outer conductor engager portion is compressed radially inward against an outer conductor of the coaxial cable.

    Abstract: A filter circuit includes a pass band filter and a multipath interference mitigation leg. The pass band filter is disposed along a signal path between a provider-side port and a user-side port. The pass band filter is configured to pass a provider bandwidth signal received at the provider-side port and block at least a portion of a home network bandwidth signal received at the user-side port. A frequency spectrum of the home network bandwidth signal is distinct from, and higher than, a frequency spectrum of the provider bandwidth signal. The multipath interference mitigation leg is operatively branched to ground from the signal path. The multipath interference mitigation leg is configured to increase a return loss in the home network bandwidth signal.

The cavity is defined by a first or coupler seal cavity formed on the inside surface of a coupler and a second or insert seal cavity formed on the outer periphery of an insert. Relative motion of the coupler and the insert during assembly causes the sealing member to be displaced from a stowed or inactive seal position to an assembled or active seal position.

    Abstract: A fiber optic connector for terminating a fiber optic cable includes an inner housing, an outer housing, a connector sub-assembly, and a crimp sleeve. The outer housing is disposed radially outward of the inner housing, and the connector sub-assembly includes a ferrule basket configured to receive a ferrule that terminates a fiber of the fiber optic cable. The crimp sleeve surrounds and is crimped onto a rearward portion of the connector sub-assembly and an end portion of the fiber optic cable. The inner housing is configured to be securely disposed about the crimp sleeve, and the outer housing is configured to be secured disposed about the inner housing.

    Abstract: An electrical connector for receiving a central conductor of a coaxial cable adapter includes first and second body portions, a first electrical contact, and a coupling element. The first body portion is configured to define a first bore extending in a first axial direction, and the second body portion is configured to define a second bore extending in a second axial direction, the second axial direction being angled relative to the first axial direction. The electrical contact is configured to be disposed in the first body portion, and the conductive coupling element in contact with the electrical contact. The second body portion is configured to receive a coaxial cable adapter, and the conductive coupling element is configured to receive a central conductor of the adapter, and the coupling element includes a wall having a first portion with a first inner diameter and a second portion with a second inner diameter, the second inner diameter being smaller that the first inner diameter. The conductive coupling element includes a plurality of spring fingers that, in a rest position, extend radially inward from the first portion of the coupling element to define an opening having a diameter that is smaller than the second inner diameter such that the coupling element is configured to receive the central conductor having a diameter equal to or less than the second diameter and provide an electrical connection between the electrical contact and the central conductor.
