Abstract: An optical fiber feed-through connector for optically coupling an end portion of an optical fiber cable with a non-feed-through optical fiber connector includes a feed-through duct engaging portion having a body member and a compression fitting portion configured to radially compress a portion of the body member around the free end portion of the duct and a feed-through housing portion configured to be operatively coupled to the feed-through duct engaging portion so as to allow the end portion of the optical fiber cable to be slidingly fed through the feed-through housing portion. The feed-through engaging portion is configured to permit the end portion of the optical fiber cable to be slidingly fed through both the duct and the feed-through duct engaging portion, and the feed-through duct engaging portion and the feed-through housing portion are configured to permit the optical fiber cable to be pushed or pulled through the duct and the feed-through housing portion after the feed-through duct engaging portion is operatively coupled to the feed-through housing portion.

Abstract: A packaging arrangement for a bundle of cable includes a planar packaging blank extending in a longitudinal direction from a first end to a second end. The blank includes a middle region extending from the first end to the second end between a first fold line and a second fold line, a first side extending from the first end to the second end and including a plurality of first flaps extending from the first fold line in a direction away from the second side in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, and a second side extending from the first end to the second end and including a plurality of second flaps extending from the second fold line in a direction away from the first side in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The blank is configured to be rolled into a cylindrical shape such that the first end overlaps the second end. The plurality of first flaps are configured to be folded radially inward relative to the cylindrical blank, and the plurality of second flaps are configured to be folded radially inward relative to the cylindrical blank.

Abstract: A multi-tap device for a cable television (CATV) system includes a tap housing and a faceplate configured to be connected to the tap housing. The device also includes a first circuit board configured to be connected to the tap housing. The device also includes a second circuit board configured to be connected to the faceplate and to the first circuit board. The device also includes an access cover connected to the tap housing. The access cover is configured to be opened to provide access to disconnect the first circuit board from the tap housing and from the second circuit board and to subsequently remove the first circuit board from the tap housing, thereby changing a tap value of the multi-tap device. The second circuit board is configured to remain connected to the faceplate and positioned within the tap housing when the first circuit board is removed from the tap housing.

Abstract: An outer sleeve for a CATV filter has, in one embodiment, a first end and a second end. The second end has a face with one or more engagement holes. A torque transmitter for installing a cable television (CATV) filter on an interface port includes a CATV filter header configured to support a CATV filter component. The torque transmitter also includes a torque transmitting housing configured to at least partially house the CATV filter header. The torque transmitting housing is configured to fit a CATV filter installation tool, receive a torque force from the CATV filter installation tool when the torque transmitting housing is fit to the CATV filter installation tool, and transmit the torque force received from the CATV filter installation tool to the CATV filter header so as to allow the CATV filter installation tool to install the torque transmitting housing and the CATV filter on the interface port.

Abstract: A cable network system for bidirectionally communicating signals at an enhanced duplex frequency range, which may be between about 5 MHz and about 650 MHz. This system may include a first amplifier, which may be configured to condition an upstream signal proceeding from a subscriber premises to a headend, without necessarily conditioning a downstream signal proceeding from the headend to the subscriber premises, a second amplifier, which may be configured to condition the downstream signal without necessarily conditioning the upstream signal, and a shaping circuit, which may condition the upstream and downstream signals. Abstract: A test point adaptor includes a body having a first and second end along a longitudinal axis. The second end includes an outer conductive sleeve. A cap includes a sleeve and a terminator. The body includes a first and second interface at the first and second ends, respectively. A center conductor extends though the body from the first interface toward the second interface. The second end includes a conical contact surface of the outer conductive sleeve. The cap matingly engages the second interface. The second end includes an electrically conductive contact member in electrical contact with the center conductor and a gripping arrangement electrically coupled with the electrically conductive contact member. The cap includes a conical contact surface to engage the conical contact surface of the outer conductive sleeve. A terminator is received by the gripping arrangement, which electrically couples the terminator to the center conductor.
