摘要： In a radiation image read-out method using a stimulable phosphor sheet, read-out conditions in final read-out are adjusted based on preliminary read-out image information on a region recognized as an irradiation field. To recognize the irradiation field, sample image signals are extracted from preliminary read-out image signals at a picture element string extending from an end towards the center of the stimulable phosphor sheet. Changes between image density levels represented by the sample image signals are expressed by an approximate equation, and differences between imaginary image density levels calculated by the approximate equation and the actual image density levels are calculated. Or, the image density changes are expressed by approximate equations for picture element groups, and differences between imaginary image density levels calculated by the approximate equations in each picture element group are calculated. Or, intersections of lines represented by the approximate equations and an image density change curve higher than a predetermined density level and represented by the sample image signals are detected, and the intersection nearest to the sheet end is recognized as an edge of the irradiation field.

摘要： A system for playing a gambling game over a network. A plurality of clients are connected to a server by the network. The client personally authenticates a person using the client by analyzing a fingerprint collected by a fingerprint sensor. The client then generates elemental information in accordance with a predetermined condition. Authentication-information is generated irreversibly and univocally on the basis of the elemental information generated by the client. The server receives a plurality of pieces of the authentication information from the clients which it transmits to the clients. The client then transmits the elemental information to the server after reception of all the pieces of the authentication information.

In the case where the input image is unnecessary, the image can be designated as an unnecessary image and not sent. The unnecessary image is designated by moving display of accompanying information of the image to an unnecessary image list in the display means. In an image transmission information display apparatus for displaying transmission information on a screen for confirmation of a transmission status of a medical image to be sent to a plurality of addressees, an image list is displayed on the screen. After transmission processing of the medical image to all the addressees has been finished, a transmission processing end status is displayed indicating the end of the transmission processing to all the addressees, in an information display area of the image in the image list. After the transmission of the medical image to all the addressees has been completed normally, a transmission completion status is displayed, indicating the normal completion in the information display area. When the transmission of any one of the addressees was unsuccessful, an unsuccessful transmission status is displayed indicating the unsuccessful transmission to any one of the addressees, in the information display area.
