    摘要: A soft water- and oil-repellent comprising, as an active ingredient, a copolymer of a perfluoropolyether alcohol (meth)acrylic acid derivative represented by the general formula: CH2═CR1COOCH2CF(CF3)[OCF2CF(CF3)]nOC3F7  [I] (wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and n is an integer of 1 to 20), and a (meth)acrylic acid ester represented by the general formula: CH2═CR1COOR2  [II] (wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and R2 is an alkyl group, an alkoxyalkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group, or an aralkyl group) and having a glass transition temperature Tg of 51 to 120° C. The soft water- and oil-repellent gives a coating film formed from a coating agent which closely follows the deformation of rubber or resin, and exhibits water- and oil-repellency.

    摘要: A method of treating a surface is provided. The method includes disposing a condensation reduction composition on the surface, thereby treating the surface to reduce formation of condensate and/or an amount of condensate thereon. The condensation reduction composition comprises a surface-active agent comprising an alkyl polyglycoside. The condensation reduction composition may further comprise a preservative, a pH control agent, and/or water. A treated surface prepared in accordance with the method is also provided. The method and treated surface prepared therewith are useful in reducing condensate and/or formation of condensate on surfaces, e.g. by reducing the number of condensate drops falling from the surface, increasing the rate of condensate evaporation on the surface, and/or increasing the rate of water absorption into or through the surface, e.g. upon or during exposure of the treated surface to a condensation condition.

    摘要: According to the invention, a melting and traction matrix for use on icy or wet surfaces comprising at least one melting agent and at least one substrate impregnated therewith and a method for making and using same are disclosed. The matrix is applied to surfaces where ice is present or anticipated. Upon surface contact, the substrate provides immediate traction and melting agent dissipates from the substrate. Further melting agent dissipates slowly by diffusion for a long-term, persistent effect. In combination with the substrate, the overall amount of melting agent may be controlled, thereby mitigating potential corrosive, toxic and adverse cosmetic and/or environmental effects. The remaining substrate after melting agent has totally diffused may provide longer traction benefit or may be swept away.
