    Abstract: Disclosed herein are snow removal compositions, and more specifically, snow removal compositions which not only have excellent performance in terms of suppressing freezing and rapidly melting the formed ice, but are also economical and eco-friendly. The snow removal compositions generally include water; about 2.4 mol/L to about 5.5 mol/L chloride ions; a first additive agent selected from the group consisting of metasilicate, metasilicate salt, and ions derived thereof; and a second additive agent selected from a group consisting of formic acid, formate, and ions derived thereof. The snow removal compositions do not freeze at temperatures above −30° C.

    Abstract: A brine machine comprises a salt hopper, a source of water for wetting salt in the salt hopper, a brine hopper positioned in side-by-side relation relative to the salt hopper, a filter providing fluid communication between the salt hopper and the brine hopper, a generally horizontal auger positioned in a base of the salt hopper, and an upwardly directed lift auger having a first end in operable association with an end of the horizontal auger and a second discharge end positioned above a level of brine in the brine hopper. The augers convey solid material from the base of the salt hopper and discharge the material from the machine.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a self-healing anti-icing ACSR with composite microporous structure, which is formed lower layer pores with a small diameter (durable storage remediator) and upper layer pores with a large diameter (increase a proportion of air cushion to improve anti-icing performance) by growing a uniform porous aluminum membrane on the surface of an aluminum base body. By optimizing the diameter and thickness of the lower layer pores and upper layer pores, and under the action of air pressure, capillary force and surface energy, a low surface energy remediator is immersed in pores, so an anti-icing ACSR with durable excellent anti-icing self-healing performance is prepared. The invention improves the anti-icing performance of the ACSR in practical applications and the self-healing of the anti-icing performance after being damaged, thereby extending the anti-icing life of the ACSR and improving the durable anti-icing performance thereof.
