Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a magnesium based composite material. The magnesium based composite material includes a magnesium based metal matrix and nanoparticles dispersed in the magnesium based metal matrix in a weight percentage of a range from about 0.01% to about 2%. The present disclosure also relates to a method for making the magnesium based composite material. In the method, the nanoparticles are added to the magnesium based metal at a temperature of about 460° C. to about 580° C. to form a mixture. The mixture is ultrasonically vibrated at a temperature of about 620° C. to about 650° C. The mixture is casted at a temperature of about 650° C. to about 680° C., to form an ingot.

A multifunctional vibrator includes a frame, a vibrating unit receiving in the frame and including a magnetic circuit part with a magnetic gap, a plurality of elastic members connecting the vibrating unit and the frame, and a voice coil partially inserted into the magnetic gap. Each elastic member includes a retaining portion assembling to an inner face of the frame, a connecting portion attached to the vibrating unit, and an elastic portion extending from the retaining portion to the connecting portion along a devious way. The elastic portion of elastic members includes a first arm capable of generating elastic deformation along a short axis direction of the vibrating unit and a second arm capable of generating elastic deformation along a long axis direction of the vibrating unit.

A first video signal is accessed, and represented in a first color space with a first color gamut, related to a first dynamic range. A second video signal is accessed, and represented in a second color space of a second color gamut, related to a second dynamic range. The first accessed video signal is converted to a video signal represented in the second color space. At least two color-related components of the converted video signal are mapped over the second dynamic range. The mapped video signal and the second accessed video signal are processed. Based on the processing, a difference is measured between the processed first and second video signals. A visual quality characteristic relates to a magnitude of the measured difference between the processed first and second video signals. The visual quality characteristic is assessed based, at least in part, on the measurement of the difference.

A multi-magnet speaker is disclosed. The multi-magnet speaker includes a frame defining a hollow space, a magnetic system defining a yoke and a plurality of magnetic gaps positioned in the hollow space, a diaphragm mounted on the frame and a plurality of coils attached to the bottom of the diaphragm. The diaphragm includes a plurality of vibrating membranes each defining a dome part and an arcuate portion radially extending from the periphery of the dome part. Each of the coils is received in the corresponding magnetic gap to drive the corresponding vibrating membrane to vibrate.

An audio communication system, an audio transmitter and an audio receiver are described herein. In one aspect, the audio transmitter includes: An analog to digital converter configured to convert an analog audio signal into a digital audio signal; a digital compressor configured to compress the dynamic range of said digital audio signal; a digital modulator configured to modulate the compressed digital audio signal into a wireless communication signal; and the analog to digital converter, the digital compressor and the digital modulator are integrated in one integrated circuit. The described devices improve the compression and expansion device linearity, resulting in better match for the compressor at the transmitter and the expandor at the receiver.

A device for obtaining a RCC signal and related methods are described herein improves the reliability of the RCC signal reception and demodulation. In one aspect, a device configured to obtain a RCC signal includes: a receiving circuit to receive an analog AM RCC signal and to process said analog AM RCC signal to generate a digital AM RCC signal; and a demodulation circuit in connection with said receiving circuit, to demodulate said digital AM RCC signal to generate the RCC signal. In another aspect, a method for obtaining a RCC signal includes: processing a received analog AM RCC signal to generate a digital AM RCC signal; and demodulating said digital AM RCC signal to generate said RCC signal. Since the digital processing method is more reliable than the analog processing method, the reliability of RCC signal reception and demodulation are improved.

A multifunctional electromagnetic transducer includes a bracket, a vibrating unit including a magnetic circuit part receiving in the bracket, and a plurality of elastic members assembled to the bracket for sustaining the magnetic circuit part. The magnetic circuit part defines a pole plate, a first magnet disposed at a center portion of the pole plate, and a plurality of second magnets surrounding the first magnet and forming a magnetic gap corporately with the first magnet. Each of the second magnets forms a receiving gap corporately with an adjacent second magnet. Each of the receiving gap receives a weight therein. A voice coil is partially inserted into the magnetic gap.

An adjustable signal generating device and related method for generating the adjustable signal are described herein. The adjustable signal generating device includes: a voltage generator configured to continuously adjust an output voltage and output the voltage; a ΣΔ modulator configured to output a digital signal of pre-determined-cycle based on the output voltage and a reference voltage; a counter configured to count the number of a target level in the digital signal of a pre-determined number of cycles; and a digital signal generator configured to generate a target signal based on the number of the target level. The described method and device improve the accuracy of the generated signal while remaining the same feel of continuous adjustment.
