摘要: A system for sensing a property of a fluid comprises a fluid channel operable to receive the fluid therein, a flexible arm having a free end positioned within at least a portion of the fluid channel, a fluid actuator disposed sufficiently close to the flexible arm such that actuation of the fluid actuator induces movement of the flexible arm when the fluid is present, and a deflection sensing system operable to quantifiably detect movement of the flexible arm.

摘要: The present invention relates to devices and methods for removing a stop from a bottle. In certain embodiments of the present invention, a stabilizer is provided to prevent the stop from being pushed into the bottle and insert members are provided for removing the stop without the outside of the stop adhering to the inner wall of the bottle. Such embodiments allow, among other things, removal of the stop from the bottle without destruction or partial destruction of the stop, as is sometimes the case with conventional corkscrews, yet without the risk of pushing the stop into the bottle as is sometimes the case with non-corkscrew bottle stop removers.

摘要: The subject invention relates to systems and methods that facilitate display, selection, and management of context associated with execution of add-on instructions. The systems and methods track add-on instruction calls provide a user with call and data context, wherein the user can select a particular add-on instruction context from a plurality of contexts in order to observe values and/or edit parameters associated with the add-on instruction. The add-on instruction context can include information such as instances of data for particular lines of execution, the add-on instruction called, a caller of the instruction, a location of the instruction call, references to complex data types and objects, etc. The systems and methods further provide a technique for automatic routine selection based on the add-on instruction state information such that the add-on instruction executed corresponds to a current state.

摘要: A barrel of a firearm is held by a firearm restraint housing having a pair of spaced apart rotors rotatably mounted and contoured for receiving the barrel of the firearm therebetween. A slide member is positionable in interference with rotation of the rotors in its first position and in non-interference with rotation of the rotors in its second position. The position of the slide is determined electromechanically or by a hand key operated lock. The rotors are contoured so that withdrawal of the firearm barrel counter-rotates them into a barrel receiving attitude, and further, placement of the barrel between the rotors forces them into counter-rotation for locking around the barrel.

摘要: Disclosed are a system, a method, and article of manufacture to provide for filtering a servo signal in a tape drive using a matched filter that is optimized for the operating tape velocity of the tape drive. A servo controller for track following on a tape uses a digital filter implementation of the matched filter to produce a filtered servo signal. The digital filter is optimized for different tape velocities by selecting digital filter coefficients for the digital filter that depend upon the tape velocity presently in use. The filtered servo signal is used by the servo controller to provide improved track following in a tape drive.

摘要: A system for sealing thermoplastic film includes one or more bag sealing units, each comprising a lower vacuum platen and a vacuum chamber cover adapted for sealing engagement on the platen to form a vacuum chamber. A sealing bar assembly includes a sealing bar designed for constant heated operation and a pair of cooling plates which function as heat sinks. The sealing bar assembly is pneumatically reciprocated between a raised, disengaged position and a lowered position with the sealing bar engaging the neck of a bag for hermetically sealing same. The cooling plates clamp the bag neck against a sealing support assembly. A method of sealing a thermoplastic film bag includes the steps of placing a packaging object in a thermoplastic bag and placing the bag on a cradle with the bag neck extending over a bag support assembly. A. vacuum chamber cover is placed on the platen and evacuated to form a vacuum chamber. A sealing bar assembly melds the thermoplastic to form a sealed area across the bag neck. A cutoff knife blade severs the end of the bag beyond a sealed area, which extends across its neck.

摘要: The invention relates to a message broker for managing subscription requests in a multicast messaging system. The messaging system comprises a plurality of publishers publishing information to the broker and a plurality of subscribers subscribing to information received from one or more publishers. The broker is able to receive a subscription request pointing to topic information in which the requesting subscriber is interested, the topic information defining a specific topic within a topic hierarchy. The broker is able to parse the request to determine if the request includes a wildcard and if the request does include a wildcard, the broker instructs the requesting subscriber to listen on a multicast address associated with the topic in the topic hierarchy which precedes the wildcard.

The blank is provided with predetermined fold lines. Folding the blank along one series of fold lines forms the relatively large packaging structure. Separating the blank along one or more fold lines into plural blanks and folding the plural blanks along another series of fold lines forms multiple smaller packaging structures. A similar technique forms one large or multiple smaller covers for the packaging structures.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide a lens mounting apparatus for mounting a lens to a substrate having a sensor in a sensor housing mounted on the substrate. The apparatus comprises a lens mount member including a lens mount body coupled with the lens housing. The lens mount body includes a locating element configured to register the lens mount body to the sensor housing mounted on the substrate. The lens mount member includes a flexible mounting element configured to be attached to the substrate and permit movement of the lens mount body toward and away from the sensor housing. A focus ring includes a slip ring portion coupled with the coupling surface of the lens housing. The slip ring portion includes a plurality of teeth disposed on a flexible slip ring support and engaged with the grooves of the coupling surface to turn the lens housing to adjust the position of the lens in an axial direction relative to the lens mount member, between a fully extended position where the lens is farthest from the lens mount member and a fully retracted position where the lens is closest to the lens mount member. The flexible slip ring support permits the teeth to slip out of and ratchet with the grooves of the coupling surface when the focus ring is rotated in a direction to move the lens toward the lens mount member after the lens has reached the fully retracted position. The focus ring is movable in the axial direction relative to the lens mount member with the teeth of the slip ring portion of the focus ring engaged with the grooves of the coupling surface of the lens housing.
