    Abstract: A display device is provided, including a display panel; a controller; and an auxiliary panel disposed at a light emitting side of the display panel, the auxiliary panel including a first liquid crystal layer, a first substrate and a second substrate, the first liquid crystal layer being encapsulated between the first substrate and the second substrate, the first substrate including a first base substrate and a first transparent electrode layer, and the second substrate including a second base substrate and a second transparent electrode layer, wherein the controller is configured to provide a control signal to the first and second transparent electrode layers to cause different regions of the first liquid crystal layer to have different refractive indices, such that light transmitted from the display panel forms an image on a curved surface having an opening facing the light emitting direction of the display device.

    Abstract: The invention provides a polarized light source and a display apparatus. The polarized light source comprises: a complete polarizing plate comprising at least one first medium layer and at least one second medium layer, wherein a refractive index of the first medium layer is higher than that of the second medium layer; a reflective layer provided opposite to the complete polarizing plate; a phase retarder provided between the complete polarizing plate and the reflective layer; and a light source unit provided between the phase retarder and the complete polarizing plate, at least part of light emitted by the light source unit being incident on the complete polarizing plate at an incident angle of a Brewster's angle between adjacent first and second medium layers. The polarized light source of the present invention can serve as a light source for other light modulating device or display apparatus.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a display panel and a display apparatus. The display panel includes a pixel array layer and a lens array layer. The lens array layer includes micro-lenses arranged along a first direction. The pixel array layer includes pixel islands, each of the pixel islands includes sub-pixel islands arranged along a second direction; each of the sub-pixel islands is divided into sub-pixel groups arranged in the first direction. For two adjacent pixel islands in the first direction, an opaque region is provided in at least one sub-pixel group in an adjacent region of the two adjacent pixel islands, a width of the opaque region is greater than a width of a gap between two adjacent sub-pixels in other sub-pixel groups in a same pixel island. In a same sub-pixel island, gaps between sub-pixels in a sub-pixel group are correspondingly complemented by sub-pixels in other sub-pixel groups.
