Abstract:
The present invention includes systems and methods for customization of internet applications. Multiple levels of customization are applied to both static and functional aspects of user interface elements including, for example, tab-order, tab-over, immediate access keys, and hotkeys. Customization is also achieved with respect to searching over multiple user interfaces, presentation of information on a user interface, and the interaction model used by the internet application. Customization is enabled on any client supporting standard browser functionality.
Abstract:
A method for mapping sub-surface resistivity contrasts comprising making multi-channel transient electromagnetic (MTEM) measurements using at least one electric source with grounded input current electrodes or one magnetic source with current in a wire loop or multi loop and at least one electric field or magnetic field receiver, measuring the resultant earth response simultaneously at each receiver using a known recording system, measuring the system response by measuring directly the current in the wire at the source using effectively the same recording system, using the measured system response to recover the impulse response of the earth from each measured earth response, and creating from such impulse responses a sub-surface representation of resistivity contrasts.
Abstract:
Method and apparatus for managing financial transactions for multiple counterparties that allows traders, market makers, dealers, and prime brokers to negotiate with multiple liquidity providers simultaneously, and to receive and respond to transaction processing directives and settlement instructions in real time. The invention, which may be accessed over an interconnected data communications network, such as the Internet, using a standard Web browser, as well as via a proprietary user interface, automatically provides customers, traders, executing banks, funding banks, prime brokers and liquidity providers with up-to-date settlement and allocation details for previously-executed financial transactions as they are received.
Abstract:
A backend component of a website including an embedded transactional database, the embedded transactional database containing data, an adapter object, the adapter object having a plurality of application programming interfaces configured to provide interaction with the data contained within the embedded transactional database.

Abstract:
A self-calibration system includes a variable current source to generate a default source current for charging a capacitive load, and a load charge calibrator to detect a voltage associated with the capacitive load when charged by the default source current, and to generate a current control feedback according to the detected voltage and a desired charged voltage of the capacitive load, the current control feedback to indicate to the variable current source a charge current capable of charging the capacitive load to the desired charged voltage.
Abstract:
A multi-node time division multiplexing (TDM) system is disclosed. The improved method and apparatus utilizes an asynchronous synchronization packet (ASP) to synchronize the timing in all the nodes of the system. In some embodiments, the ASP also maps the time slots in a data frame to particular nodes. The ASP is sent at the start of each data frame to all the nodes in the system and each node synchronizes itself to the time of receipt of the ASP, thus establishing frame-based timing for all the nodes. Additionally, the ASP can contain a table that maps the data frame time slots to the nodes in the system.
Abstract:
We describe an apparatus including a plurality of sensing elements, a conductive layer, and a compressive layer interposed between the plurality of sensing elements and the conductive layer. The conductive layer can include a plurality of segments. A user applies a force to an actuator positioned over the conductive layer. The actuator changes a capacitance of at least one capacitor formed by at least one of the plurality of sensing elements, the conductive layer (at least one segment), and the compressive layer by reducing the distance between the at least one of the plurality of sensing elements and the conductive layer responsive to the applied force. The device measures and calculates a magnitude and direction of the force by measuring the change in the capacitance.
