摘要： A fastener drive tool for applying a rotational torque to a threaded fastener for driving the fastener into or out of a workpiece. The drive tool has an elongated shaft portion with a free end which is engageable with a recess formed in the fastener. Alternating merging concave and convex partially-cylindrical surfaces are formed on the outside of the shank towards the free end of the drive tool. The axes of curvature of the concave and convex partially-cylindrical surfaces are generally parallel to one another. The drive tool has at least one interlobular fastener retention piece attached between two convex partially-cylindrical surfaces which engage a corresponding convex partially-cylindrical surface formed in the fastener recess. The interlobular fastener retention piece releasably retains the fastener on the drive tool when the drive tool is engaged with the recess formed in the fastener and prevents wobbling of the fastener when it is driven by the drive tool.

摘要： There is disclosed an improved adjusting mechanism for an articulated headlamp construction or the like. The adjusting mechanism is comprised of a minimum number of parts, namely a housing, a scroll member and an adjusting rack member. The scroll member provides the input member for the mechanism and upon rotation thereof rotative movement thereof is transformed into transitory movement of the rack member pursuant to a spiral or scroll projection that is engaged with teeth on the adjusting rack member. The transitory movement of the adjusting rack member will correspondingly produce pivotal movement of the articulated headlamp component. If desired, the adjusting rack member may be curved so that the movement of the end thereof affixed to the headlamp will closely approximate the pivotal movement of the headlamp component. Further, there is disclosed a combination of an articulated headlamp component and an adjusting mechanism of the type having a rotatable input member and a output member operatively connected thereto for transitory movement upon rotation of the input member. In this regard, the output member is provided with a socket construction on the end thereof which is engaged with a ball component of a ball-headed screw affixed to an articulated headlamp thereby eliminating the need for brackets and individual socket components affixed to the headlamp as is the standard practice in the art.

The dispensing apparatus includes a frame having a fixed wall and a movable container impinging member for movement relative to the fixed wall for squeezing the container therebetween to effect the dispensing of the two fluids therefrom substantially simultaneously.

摘要： A multiple station disinfector apparatus simultaneously heats a plurality of devices such as contact lenses. Each of these devices is disposed in a quantity of liquid within a closed container. The apparatus comprises a housing having a base portion and a recloseable cover portion and a plurality of similar recessed receptacles in the base for receiving the containers. Each receptacle has a bottom wall and sidewall of complementary shape for surroundingly engaging a bottom wall part and a substantial portion of a sidewall part of one of the containers. Heating elements are disposed for heating the receptacles. The bottom wall and side wall of each receptacle are disposed at a predetermined angular offset relative to vertical and horizontal directions when the base portion is resting on a horizontal surface, to thereby hold each of the containers at a corresponding angular offset for facilitating heat transfer from the heating elements to the liquid in each container through both the bottom wall and a substantial portion of the side wall of the container. A control circuit controls a predetermined cycle of heating effected by the heating elements.

摘要： A mounting assembly is provided for mounting a headlamp assembly or the like relative to an automobile frame member or the like so as to permit generally vertical and horizontal adjustment of the headlamp assembly relative to the frame member for aiming of the headlamp beam. The frame member has an elongate slot for slidably receiving the mounting assembly and the headlamp assembly defines at least one mounting aperture for coupling to the mounting assembly. The mounting assembly comprises a slot-engaging member for slidably engaging the elongate slot of the frame member and comprising a pair of spaced a part, parallel and generally horizontal surface portions joined by a transverse support portion and sized to slidably interfit with the slot, and a headlamp engaging member comprising an elongate member pivotally mounted to the slot-engaging member and having mounting structure thereon for mounting at least one outer end portion thereof to the headlamp assembly. A pivotal coupling structure joins the slot-engaging member and the headlamp engaging member for permitting a predetermined degree of pivotal motion of the headlamp engaging member relative to the slot-engaging member about at least one of generally vertical and horizontal axes, respectively, so as to permit adjustment of the headlamp assembly for aiming of a headlamp beam relative to at least one of the generally vertical and horizontal axis.

摘要： There is disclosed a system for selectively supporting a mattress at a predetermined angle of inclination with respect to a support surface, such as a box spring, or the like. The system comprises primarily an inflatable mattress support member which is connected to a selectively operable pneumatic pump via a combination check valve and release valve. In practice, the user or patient can inflate the mattress support member to provide the desired degree of inclination and when not in use the support member can be easily deflated to dispose the mattress in a relatively normal position. The mattress support member is provided by a plurality of adjacent interconnected inflatable cells, with the adjacent cells sharing a common wall portion having port means formed therein to pneumatically interconnect the respective cells. The cells are of declining size, starting at a first end of the inflatable mattress support member and progressing toward the opposite, second end thereof, and preferably ten or more cells are provided. The construction of the mattress support member is provided by a pair of sheet members which are bonded together about the periphery thereof, and are further bonded together at selected areas intermediate the ends thereof, which selected areas of bonding are spaced apart by varying distances and extend generally across the width of the mattress support member, except for those locations wherein the bonding is interrupted to provide openings or ports between the respective cells.
