摘要： A technology is disclosed that provides a handover method and the like capable of improving communication efficiency by detecting that a handover destination network is a home link at an early stage and reducing tunnel overhead between a mobile node and a home agent. The technology includes, when the mobile node performs a handover from an access router of a network before the handover to which the mobile node is currently connected, to an access router of another network that is a handover destination: a step of transmitting, by a mobile node 107, an address allocation request message for acquiring an address in the handover destination network allocated to the mobile node, to the access router of the handover destination; and a step of transmitting, by a home agent 106 of the mobile node, a notification message including information indicating a type of the address of the mobile node allocated by an address allocation server of the handover destination or the home agent as a result of the address allocation request message, to the mobile node via the access router before the handover.

摘要： A router, if judging that a routing function is impossible to execute, sends out a connection instruction message including the address of a terminal on a local network terminating the relaying flow, to another router to solicit switching. The router having received the connection instruction message starts a process for connecting with an external network while executing a process for link connection with a terminal, and then sends out a connection completion notice message when the connection with both the external network and the terminal is established. This process enables the router to switch a path rapidly.

摘要： In a mobile communication system using a mobile IP, a mobile terminal determines a main home agent and a main home address. When the mobile terminal moved to a network different in service form, a home address for use on a moved-in domain network is registered as a primary care of address to the main home agent, thereby enabling communications by using the main home address even upon accessed from the other than the belonging domain network. This makes it possible to flexibly cope with an incoming call from the external by the use of a representative home address even on the Internet as a distributed network.

摘要： A router device includes a VRRP (Virtual Redundancy Router Protocol) realizing a virtual router device for operating a plurality of router devices virtually as one router device. The router device further includes a virtual router processing section for executing virtual router processing and a virtual router information processing section for extracting virtual router information upon reception of a virtual router information message and performing setting necessary for operation as a virtual router. When performing a new connection to a local area network, the virtual router information can be automatically set. Thus, it is possible to significantly reduce the load required for building a virtual router system by manual setting conventionally performed by a management operator.

摘要： Methods for detaching a mobile terminal from a mobile communication network. Furthermore, the invention also relates to a mobile terminal and a mobility management entity that perform these methods. The invention is inter alia applicable to a 3GPP LTE-A system following the Evolved Packet System (EPS) architecture. The invention proposes that the detach procedure of a mobile terminal is triggered by the mobile terminal being transferred into idle state. The mobility management entity can trigger the detach procedure in response to this event. The detach procedure may be deferred by a given time span. A detach timer may be configured in the mobile terminal and the mobility entity for this purpose, and upon expiry of the detach timer in the mobile terminal and the mobility management entity, both silently delete the context information related to the mobile terminal's user plane and control plane to detach the mobile terminal.
