Abstract:
An apparatus is provided that includes a processor configured to maintain a first implicit registration set for a first apparatus, where the first implicit registration set includes a first identity unique to the first apparatus and a shared identity. The processor is also configured to maintain a second implicit registration set for a second apparatus, where the second implicit registration set includes a second identity unique to the second apparatus and the shared identity. In this regard, the first and second implicit registration sets may be maintained to enable registration of the first and second apparatuses with a network such that each of the first and second apparatuses are configured to receive communication requests to the respective first and second identities, and such that both of the first and second apparatuses are configured to receive communication requests to the shared identity.
Abstract:
An apparatus for provision of grouped identity information may include a processor. The processor may be configured to receive an indication of a subscription for a registration event package, access information related to the subscription and indicative of identities and corresponding services supported for each of the identities, communicate group identity information to a terminal, and enable selection of a particular identity associated with initiating a particular service.
Abstract:
A system, apparatus and method for establishing circuit-switched (CS) communications in packet-switched (PS) multimedia networks such as IMS, and providing services via the PS networks to CS domain users. A dialog is established between terminals through the PS multimedia network. A service is provided to at least one of the terminals by way of the dialog. CS bearer information, including an indication that a communication flow is requested via a CS network, is communicated between the terminals by way of the dialog. A communication flow via the CS network is effected between the terminals as directed by the CS bearer information. IMS or other PS multimedia network services can thus be provided to users otherwise communicating via the CS-domain.
Abstract:
A method and system of providing an unambiguous connection between a first user equipment and a second user equipment in a combination of a circuit switched call and a packet switched multimedia session. The method comprises to construct an equipment identifier by a first user equipment, wherein the equipment identifier distinguishes the first user equipment from any other user equipment of a same user and comprises a uniform resource name. Further, the first user equipment is registered in a session control protocol environment by sending the equipment identifier to a session control protocol registrar. In addition, a uniform resource identifier is returned by the session control protocol registrar, wherein the uniform resource identifier routes to a session control protocol application, and wherein the uniform resource identifier includes the equipment identifier as an opaque parameter. Finally, the opaque parameter is advertised by the first user equipment in a circuit switched call.
Abstract:
The invention relates to providing services to a group of users, wherein the group of users is assigned to a first service, the group being identified by a common group identity, and each of the users assigned to the first service may have different states regarding the first service. The invention proposes methods, network control elements and terminal devices in order to provide a second service with respect to the users of the first service based on their state regarding the first service.
Abstract:
A method controls group communication in a communication network. The method includes sending, to a plurality of users, requests to join a group communication session. The method also includes detecting that at least one of the users was not accepting the request to join the group communication. The method also includes subscribing to a status of the at least one of the users not joining the group communication session. The status may be a registration status or a presence status.
