Abstract:
A system, apparatus and method for establishing circuit-switched (CS) communications in packet-switched (PS) multimedia networks such as IMS, and providing services via the PS networks to CS domain users. A dialog is established between terminals through the PS multimedia network. A service is provided to at least one of the terminals by way of the dialog. CS bearer information, including an indication that a communication flow is requested via a CS network, is communicated between the terminals by way of the dialog. A communication flow via the CS network is effected between the terminals as directed by the CS bearer information. IMS or other PS multimedia network services can thus be provided to users otherwise communicating via the CS-domain.

Abstract:
A mechanism for providing a connection from an IP-based network to a circuit-switched network, such as a GSM network is disclosed. A temporary routing number for the circuit-switched network, such as an E.164 number, is delivered to a user terminal, and a circuit-switched call leg is established from the user terminal to the IP-based network using the routing number. Thereby, IMS-services are provided for end users which are located in the radio access network not having sufficient QoS required for voice over IP. In the example of a conference call service, a request for a conference call may forwarded via a data channel or data path to an application server which provides that conference call service. The application server then selects a conference routing number and returns the routing number to the conference host terminal via the data channel. Using the received conference routing number, the conference host terminal can then set up a circuit-switched connection as a call leg of the conference call.

Abstract:
A method provides information on a resource in a communication system. The method includes receiving a request from a first entity in a second entity, the request being addressed to a second resource. The method also includes providing a response to the request comprising a group indication when the second resource defines a group comprising a number of individual resources. Furthermore, user terminals and entities in a communication system are provided configured to implement the method.
Abstract:
Embodiments provide an apparatus, method, and storage medium wherein a communication identifier of a session or part of a session is provided in a package or added to a message. An apparatus may check, based on the communication identifier of package or the received communication identifier, whether or not a service indicated by the communication identifier is supported. A decision of transferring the service may be based on the communication identifier.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a session handling entity and an application server (AS) in a communication system, the session handling entity (S-CSCF) is obtaining, from a register entity, a correlation identity for a registering private user identity of a user, transmitting the correlation identity as part of a registration procedure to the application server, and the application server initiates, based on a received session request associated with the user, at least one session request towards corresponding number of devices of the user wherein the application server is configured to check the correlation identity to ensure that not more than one session request is initiated for each device of the user.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a session handling entity in a communication system, the session handling entity (S-CSCF) maintain a relationship between at least one public user identity, at least one private user identity and at least one contact address of a user of a communication system. Then receives from a subscription entity an indication of a correlation identity associated with the user, and stores the indication of the correlation identity as part of the relationship maintained by the maintaining means. When a session request of the user is received, determining the correlation identity for the user based on a contact address of the user included in the session request and the indication of a correlation identity associated with the user take place, and the correlation identity is included in the session request.
