    摘要: An endoscope includes a section of an elongated tube for imaging an object by entry in a body cavity. For use with this, a guide assembly includes a shaft sleeve for mounting on the elongated tube by reception thereof. A housing sleeve is supported around the shaft sleeve. Three endless belts are secured to the housing sleeve, for endlessly moving in an axial direction of the elongated tube, and propelling the elongated tube by contacting a cavity wall of the body cavity. A drive sleeve is contained in the housing sleeve, for driving the endless belts. Side projections as side rail portions are disposed on the housing sleeve, for covering lateral side portions of each of the endless belts at least partially, to keep the endless belts slidable. Preferably, the side projections cause curving of a center portion of the endless belts outwards with respect to a transverse direction.

    摘要: A guide assembly of a self-propelled type for an endoscope including an elongated tube for entry in a body cavity is provided. First and second self-propelled units are mounted on a steering device of the elongated tube in an axial direction thereof, for contacting a wall of the body cavity for propulsion. The first and second self-propelled units include respectively first and second driving devices, actuated with force by an external drive source, for converting the force for the propulsion. The first self-propelled unit includes a first torque coil structure for transmitting the force from the drive source to the first driving device. The second self-propelled unit includes a second torque coil structure for transmitting the force from the drive source to the second driving device discretely from the first torque coil structure. The first self-propelled unit is fixedly mounted on the steering device.

    摘要: A self-propelled type of guide assembly for an endoscope includes a barrel for receiving an elongated tube of the endoscope in an axial direction. A rubber ring retains the barrel to the elongated tube in a form with a clearance space defined between the barrel and the elongated tube. The barrel includes a barrel sleeve, having a first inner diameter according to an outer diameter of the elongated tube. An end cup is formed to extend from an end of the barrel sleeve, has a second inner diameter larger than the first inner diameter, for allowing the steering device in the elongated tube to steer. Furthermore, a movable endless track device has an annular surface, movable on an endless track outside the barrel, for pushing a wall of a body cavity for propulsion in the axial direction. A drive roller moves the endless track device relative to the barrel.

    摘要: An endoscope for imaging of an object in a body cavity by receiving image light on an image sensor is provided. In an elongated tube for entry in the body cavity, an objective lens system is incorporated for receiving the image light from the object. A fiber optic image guide includes plural bundled optical fibers and a distal tip, is inserted in the elongated tube, for transmitting the image light focused on the distal tip by the objective lens system. A piezoelectric actuator is positioned on the distal tip, for displacing the distal tip periodically. The image sensor detects the image light from the fiber optic image guide for plural times in synchronism with the displacement for forming a synthesized image. An anchoring device anchors the elongated tube partially on a wall of the body cavity, to stabilize the elongated tube relative to the image light.
