摘要: A user interface device including a floating actuator sub-assembly and a base assembly flexibly coupled to the floating actuator assembly is disclosed. The floating actuator assembly may include a magnet array assembly with a plurality of magnets fixed relative to each other. The user interface device may further include a deformable actuator sub-assembly, which may include a magnet array assembly with a plurality of magnets in a movable configuration relative to each other. A base assembly may include multi-axis magnetic sensors corresponding to the magnets in the magnet arrays to sense position of motion of the magnets during user displacements and/or deformation of actuator elements of the user interface device.

摘要: A marking paint applicator for a portable electronic locator that locates buried cables and pipes via electromagnetic emissions is disclosed. The marking paint application may include an elongated support structure and a manually moveable trigger mechanism mounted adjacent an upper end of the support structure, along with a bracket assembly, a trigger mechanism, a receptacle for holding paint, and an actuating mechanism for selectively controlling release of the paint in response to operator actuation of the trigger mechanism.

An electronic drive circuit is mounted in the housing for supplying the coil with an electric signal that will induce the core to emit electromagnetic signals at a predetermined strength and frequency that can be remotely detected. Self-contained battery powered float-type and pill-type sondes are also disclosed.

摘要: A marking paint applicator for a portable electronic locator that locates buried cables and pipes via electromagnetic emissions includes an elongated support structure and a manually moveable trigger mechanism mounted adjacent an upper end of the support structure. At least one bracket assembly is provided for removably connecting the support structure to an antenna mast of the portable locator so that the trigger mechanism will be adjacent a handle of the locator and the trigger mechanism can be squeezed by a finger of an operator's hand while grasping the handle. A receptacle is mounted to the support structure for carrying an inverted aerosol paint can and positioning a valve stem of the aerosol paint can for spraying paint onto the ground to mark the location of a buried cable or pipe. An actuating mechanism is capable of selectively deflecting the valve stem to cause the aerosol paint can to spray paint onto the ground to mark the location of a buried cable or pipe. A linkage connects the trigger mechanism to the actuating mechanism for deflecting the valve stem when the trigger mechanism is squeezed.

摘要: A camera controller platform for use with a pipe inspection system is disclosed. The platform is configured for the rapid mounting and connection of an electronic computing device such as a laptop computer for providing display and/or virtual control interface functions in conjunction with an electronics module. An additional user interface, which may include a manual user interface device, may be coupled to the electronics module. Alternatively, a plurality of virtual controls may be supported by a software application on the electronic computing device, which may be connected to the camera controller platform by a USB or other interface bus.

摘要: A resilient, flexible video push cable is coiled in a stack of coils inside an annular portion of a non-rotating cable storage drum. A video camera head is electro-mechanically connected to a distal end of the push cable. A display is connected to a system interconnect cable which is in turn connected to a proximal end of the push cable. While the drum is held stationary, the push cable can be unwound from its main annular portion and the camera head pushed down a length of pipe. This unwinding of the push cable is facilitated by routing it through a centrally located frusto-conical guide portion of the drum. The video camera head can be pulled out of the pipe, and the push cable can be manually re-inserted through the guide portion to facilitate re-forming of the stack of coils within the main annular portion of the drum.
