Abstract:
A method of providing a stoma with a removable connection for a receptacle includes securing an implant onto the stoma of a patient, wherein the implant has an axial interior section for fixation inside the body and an axial exterior section extending outwards from the body, a free end of the exterior section accommodates mounting of a detachable device, and a distal portion of the interior section includes an anchoring section, extending radially from the distal portion of the interior section. The anchoring section has an inner anchoring ring, an outer anchoring ring and at least one connection member configured and dimensioned for resiliently connecting the inner and outer anchoring rings in a manner to provide axial resilience and anchorage to the anchoring section such that the anchoring section is able to respond to movements and absorb the shear of the implant in relation to adjacent organs.
Abstract:
An implant for percutaneous implantation through the abdominal wall for encircling and engaging an externalized length of a body duct of a human or animal patient. The implant has an exterior tubular section defined by an circumferential exterior wall at least a part of which is adapted to protrude outwardly from the abdominal wall with a free end for mounting of a detachable device, an interior section defined by an circumferential interior wall adapted to extend through the abdominal wall and inside the patient for internal fixation of the implant, wherein the exterior tubular section and the interior section have a common axis A. The circumferential exterior wall of the exterior tubular section and the circumferential interior wall of the interior section are arranged axially spaced apart at a distance D from each other to provide an axial gap between opposing free ends of the exterior tubular section and the interior section, with the exterior tubular section and interior section being connected inside the sections.
Abstract:
The invention provides an antenna arrangement for a wireless communication system arranged to have at least one transmit mode and at least one receive mode, the arrangement comprising at least three directional antennas (601, 602, 603) in an antenna configuration. Each directional antenna is arranged to have an azimuthal radiation pattern shaped as a beam, each beam covering an angular sector, such that a combined radiation pattern of all beams in a first transmit mode is arranged to provide a full 360° omnidirectional coverage. By combining localization and polarization (P1, P2) of the directional antennas an omnidirectional radiation pattern substantially without null-depths in the azimuthal plane can be created when the radiation pattern of the directional antennas are combined. The invention also provides a corresponding method and a base station for communication with mobile terminals in a telecommunications network equipped with the antenna arrangement.
Abstract:
The invention relates to novel compounds having the general formula (I), and which compounds are useful to manufacture a medicament to treat a disorder or disease characterized by bronchoconstriction, e.g. COPD and asthma, and vasoconstriction, e.g. hypertension.
Abstract:
A sub-node, such as a repeater station or relay station, equipped with a multi-beam sub-node link antenna. The beams of the sub-node link antenna allow communication between the sub-node and at least two nodes (access points/base stations) 11A-B; 11A-E. The sub-node is further provided with at least one transmitting and receiving coverage antenna to generate coverage in at least one geographical secondary coverage area a; a-c, and a control mechanism that selects one of the nodes to extend the geographical primary coverage area A-B; A-E of the node 11A-B; 11A-E to include the geographical secondary coverage area a; a-c of the sub-node. The invention is also related to a cellular communication network, and a method for generating coverage in a cellular communication network.
Abstract:
An implant for percutaneous implantation through the abdominal wall for encircling and engaging an externalised length of a body duct of a human or animal patient. The implant has an exterior ring section protruding outwardly from the abdominal wall with a free end which serves for mounting of a detachable device, and an interior section extending through the abdominal wall and inside the patient for internal fixation of the implant. The exterior ring section and interior section have a common axis. The internal circumference of at least a part of the exterior ring section above the interior section is arranged with a biocompatible, integrated ingrowth means for the exterior surface of the body duct wall.
Abstract:
A device for transmitting rotary motion. The device includes a motion-transmitting member for transforming an alternating rotary motion of a input drive shaft into a unidirected rotary motion of a driven body driven about a drive shaft. The motion-transmitting member includes an intermediate body rotatable about an axis of rotation. A mechanical energy accumulation member is mechanically connected to the driven body. The intermediate body includes a cam disk in the form of a driving pulley and the mechanical energy accumulation member includes a tensile/compressive spring unit.
Abstract:
The invention discloses a system (200) for cellular mobile telephony, comprising a base station antenna (500, 600, 700) and a plurality of cells (203, 310, 320, 330). Each cell has an area defined by an azimuth (α1, a2) and a range (R0 R′), and the first (310) and second (320) cell cover respective areas, said areas being defined by first (α1,) and second (α2) azimuths and first and second ranges (Ro) respectively. The first and second cells are essentially adjacent to each other in azimuth, and the system also comprises a third cell (203, 330) with an area coverage defined by a third azimuth and a third range (R′). The third azimuth is essentially the same as, and coinciding with, the total azimuths of the first and the second cell, but the third cell has a range coverage which is much smaller than the first or second range coverages.
