Abstract:
A method of searching a compatible beam link is disclosed. The present invention includes receiving a channel time for communicating data from a coordinator, the channel time being previously allocated for communicating data between other stations, determining an occurrence of interference during the allocated channel time, and transmitting a feedback signal to the coordinator, the feedback signal including an interference information indicating an occurrence of interference. According to embodiments of the present invention, stations of network search for compatible beams whenever necessary, whereby loads of energy management and operations of a main station can be reduced.
Abstract:
A method of changing channels of a first device in a wireless network, which includes a first coordinator and at least one device, comprises searching whether another channel other than a first channel which is currently used in the wireless network is available, changing the first channel to a second channel among at least one or more available channels as a result of the searching step, and transmitting data to a second device or receiving data from the second device through the second channel.
Abstract:
A method for sharing a channel in a communication system is disclosed. The method includes receiving scheduling information including information about a channel time reserved by other user devices, and transmitting data through the reserved channel time if a result of performing scanning in the reserved channel time indicates that no interference occurs, wherein the communication system performs communication using beam signals which are directional. If the signals are highly directional, the channel sharing method enables a plurality of user devices to share a channel, thereby increasing the efficiency of channel use.
Abstract:
Methods for allocating predetermined output display spaces to devices and allowing the devices to freely display desired information in the respective allocated spaces so as to easily control the devices is disclosed. That is, one of the methods for outputting information collected through a report request (S41, S42) on a display of a platform device in order to request basic device capability information of devices and allowing a user to directly control a selected device through a key passing-through method is disclosed.
Abstract:
A present invention is related to a method for transmitting a data packet in a wireless network. An exemplary method comprises requesting to allocate a bi-directional channel time block including a first channel time block for transmitting a specific data packet and a second channel time block for receiving a response to the specific data packet; transmitting the specific data packet through the first channel time block; and receiving the response to the specific data packet through the second channel time block, wherein the bi-directional channel time block is predetermined to be allocated in an unreserved region in a superframe.
Abstract:
A method is provided for checking whether information on a request for a mode change is received for a prescribed channel time such that a device configuring a network enters a power save mode when not performing data transmission/reception and a modem enters an awake state from a sleep state for the prescribed channel time. The prescribed channel time is determined to correspond to a time for transmitting a beacon. The modem of a device in a power save mode enters an awake state for a channel time period for broadcasting a beacon and then checks whether information on a power management mode change is received. If the information is not received, a sleep state is reentered. If the power management mode change information is received, power is managed by performing data transmission/reception by switching to a normal mode.
Abstract:
Apparatus and method for random access control in a directional communication system is disclosed. The method includes omni-directionally transmitting start time and duration information associated with data to be transmitted, the duration information indicating a duration of transmission of the data to be transmitted to a target station within a random access period; and directionally transmitting, subsequent to the omni-transmitting, the data to the target station beginning at the start time. Data collision caused by overlapped antenna beams linking remote stations can be prevented and communication can be reliably performed.
Abstract:
A method of controlling a network at a coordinator of a wireless network comprises receiving a beacon, which includes at least one of transmission coverage information associated with signal transmission coverage of the wireless network and ACK packet information indicating a type of an ACK packet transmitted from a plurality of devices for acknowledgement during reception of data packets, from a coordinator of the wireless network; receiving the data packets from a transmitting device of the wireless network; and transmitting an ACK packet having an ACK packet type determined based on the ACK packet type information included in the beacon to the transmitting device as a signal for acknowledgement of the data packets.

Abstract:
A method of exchanging messages for link recommendation in a receiving device of a wireless network comprises receiving a first data packet from a transmitting device; and transmitting link recommendation information to the transmitting device, the link recommendation information including transmit power control (TPC) information for controlling transmission power to be used for a second data packet in the transmitting device.
